Race 1 CAMBRIDGE MAIDEN SPRINT HEAT 1 - C0q - 375 Heat 1 Manual start. Osbourne justified favouritism after taking early lead from Mana Watt and holding to the line decisively. Cryptic and Sister Stamp came into shoulder to shoulder contact following the jump, but Cryptic quickly settled and ran forward for second placing. Pure Ebony was slow from the inside box at the jump but did make late ground to finish in behind the placegetters.
Race 2 CAMBRIDGE MAIDEN SPRINT HEAT 2 - C0q - 375 Heat 1 Poetical took an early lead, holding to straight entrance where Nite Hawk Lady ranged up alongside her - Poetical stepped up a gear and held to the line, although Nite Hawk Lady was closing on her at the finish.
Race 3 MANUKAU MAIDEN STAKES - C0 - 457 The favourite Bazil's Token was slow to jump, and on recovering the field was blocked for a pathway and from that point remained towards the back of the field. Token Sniper was the early leader, and although he moved wide running down the straight, held to the line. Bannister Lad was jostled between dogs in the early running and had to scramble to retain footing for several strides, before settling and finishing back.
Race 4 CAMBRIDGE MAIDEN SPRINT HEAT 3 - C0q - 375 Heat 1 Kiwi Mana was quickly to the front and was not headed from that point. The favourite, Eiffel Ami made ground late for a third, in a nose decision with the second dog. Never Home was badly squeezed by dogs on each side after the jump, was forcibly pushed to the ground by the pressure and then suffered further as Proper Viper and Supreme Bet climbed over him as they went forward. Never Home trailed home at the rear - and was cleared of injury at a post race veterinary examination.
Race 5 CAMBRIDGE MAIDEN SPRINT HEAT 4 - C0q - 375 Heat 1 Little Toot was up handy to the lead, on the inner, in the early running before flaring wide - across the path of Lord Sumarei and Rum Dancer. Little Toot was pushed sideon for several strides before regaining his footing and went on to dispute the lead with Tap To It. Entering the straight Little Toot again went wide, this time moving out and impacting with the back of Tap To It - Tap To It kept up strong run to reach the line first whilst Little Toot recovered momentum and took out the second placing. .
Race 6 IMPROVERS HEAT 1 - C1q - 457 Heat 1 Androgyny streaked away for the early lead, from Basil Faulty and Lucky Lipinski on the inner, and held well to the line. Hostile Deed stayed wide, after exiting box 7, for the early running then from second last position launched forward through field and down straight - closing on the winner but not denying the win.
Race 7 WAIRARAPA DASH - C1 - 375 Faithful Bart and Cardinia Kev were both slow to start, conceding the field several lengths. BenBulben Lad took the early lead, following a quick start, but had to relinquish the advantage when Winsome Eels took control and went with ease to the line. Mistress Honcho was up handy in the early stages but then drifted and dropped out of contention.
Race 8 IMPROVERS HEAT 2 - C1q - 457 Heat 1 Even despatch. Dallas Ruby and Go Wild Chrissy then in head to head flurry for the lead - ending when Go Wild Chrissy became dominant and surged away mid straight for the win.
Race 9 WANGANUI SPRINT - C1 - 375 BigBad Ben was the early pacemaker, taking the field to midstraight before Monty Tyler loomed up alongside and raced away for the win.Lickem Luke was positioned handy to the lead in the early stages until checked from behind - his back legs forced down to the track - and he was out of contention from that point.
Race 10 IMPROVERS HEAT 3 - C1q - 457 Heat 1 Claire Eyes and Splicklez disputed the initial lead, with Eagle Farm and Keenjackaroo in close attendance on their inner. Monaro Bale then charged across from the outer of the track, having drawn box 8, and caused several of the leading group to be checked in their running and allowing him,Monaro Bale, to quickly put a break of three or four lengths on the field. The lead was short lived however, as Splicklez loped back with sustained late run down the outer of the straight and went away to the line with ease. The favourite, Keenjackaroo, drifted back when Monaro Bale charged the rail and did not feature further.
Race 11 MANAWATU SPRINT - C2 - 375 Bahama Bale flew from the boxes - then equally as quick was headed by Sharna's Lad, that dog setting out for the line and despite ranging a little wide down the straight holding out well. The favourite, Storm Edition, dwelt slightly after the jump and on recovering the field was in contact with Kedo's Ned. Storm Edition made up ground late but did not place.
Race 12 IMPROVERS HEAT 4 - C1q - 457 Heat 1 Hugh Dagg was slow to jump and conceded ground accordingly. Kiwi Fire carried an early lead to the line for a decisive win. Justa Toff was also slow to start and after recovering to midfield was checked and together with Wandering Eyes went to the back of the field. Neither of those dogs made any marked improvement from that point.
Race 13 WELLINGTON DASH - C3 - 375 Arnies First from the start to the finish with Sumability Bale closing on the line.Geechie Lobo made ground late in the running, finishing in behind the placegetters. No 1 Nigella Bale (GN Pomeroy). Rule 259 - cut foot. Stand down 30 days to 26.11.03.

Summer Buzz finished strongly, making inroads into the winner's margin. Ballibeast, the reserve from box 5 raced on the outer of the leader in the early stages until Hot Discovery moved out from the rail and came into contact with the back of Ballibeast - that greyhound went back somewhat but ran on again in the straight to finish fourth. No 5 Sunset Coast (K Walsh). Rule 259 - soreness both wrists on flexior. Stand down 7 days to 3.11.03. Dog presented. VC held.
Race 15 DUNEDIN DASH - C4/5 - 375 There was significant jostling amongst the leaders as a bunched field entered the first bend, with Winsome Mate, following shoulder contact with Aston Marshal, stepping clear and holding the lead to the line. The jostling at the first bend was precipitated by a tightening of the field post jump, as the greyhound from box 4, Winsome Hope, moved out at the same time as Onslow Bale, from box 8, moved across the field to take an early lead.
Race 16 ADDINGTON STAKES - C3 - 457 Mavriki Glider took and held an early lead to the with a definitive run.The favourite, Orana City, was last to jump - trailed the field and although running on late made no impact on the finish.
