Judicial report: Weather: Overcast My Kev, a starter in Race 11, was presented for kennelling at 35.5kg which was 1.8kg under its last race weight on 910/2003. The dog was scratched under Rule 269.3 without penalty and the trainer, Mr B.C.Dann, was fined $100.

Race 1	PEDIGREE ADVANCE SPRINT - C1 - 295	Petite Jewel (7) made it three wins in a row when it took the lead in the run to the turn and ran on well to win by 2 and a quarter lengths from My Perk (1) which was slow early, checked in the back straight, got a nice rails run and came on in the straight to finish 2nd. Race 2	GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND STAKES - C1 - 520	Yorked Again (4) was out well, up to take the lead on the final turn and pulled away to win comfortably from the favourite Super Gold (1) which ran on strongly after getting checked and shuffled bacwards on the first turn. Speedwell Bale (2) was knocked against the running rail when the field tightened in the run to the first turn. A vet check after the race showed no injury sustained by the dog.
Race 3	KOLORUFUL KANVAS SPRINT - C0 - 295	Mulberry Ace (3) took the lead into the turn and held on to win by a nose from La Roko (4) which ran on strongly after leading from the traps to the first turn. Favourite Whipwhop Patch (1) was very slow to trap, got a rails run on the turn, but only battled for 4th.
Race 4	FLAIR INC STAKES - C1 - 520	Favourite Superstitious (1) was out well, got a rails run on the first bend to get to the lead, and bolted in by 10 lengths from Call Me Nelson (2) which led to the first turn. Ozzy Spencer (B.C.Dann), deceased Seaspray Best (P.B.Freeman), Rule 259 muscle soreness right scapula. 5 days up to and including 28/10/2003. Dog presented and vet certificate supplied.
Race 5	COALGATE TAVERN SPRINT - C0 - 295	Favourite Turbo Jewel (3) was out well, up second into the straight and ran on best to get up and win by a neck from the early leader Our Mick (5). Glen Havoc (7) was checked in the run to the turn, pushed out wide and tailed off to the rear. On leaving the boxes Whipwhop Joe (1) was checked, then down the back straight the dog struck the running rail. A vet check after the race showed no injury sustained by the dog.
Race 6	HORORATA HOTEL STAKES - C0 - 520	Inside Cover (2), the hot favourite, took the lead shortly after the jump, put several lengths on the field, and cruised in to win by 5 and a half lengths from Melantha Bale (6) which chased the leader throughout. There was a 5 and a half length gap to the rest of the field. Dreamchaser (D.Kingston), withdrawn without penalty.
Race 7	ANGLERS ARMS STAKES - C1 - 520	Ozzy John (7) jumped well, crossed over to the rail into the bend to take the lead, and ran on strongly to win from the favourite Bankside Night (8) which was in second place for most of the journey.
Race 8	THE MILLER BAR SPRINT - C1 - 295	Favourite Hawk Dreamer (1) flew the traps and led all the way, holding on to win by a half length from Aphrodite Queen (6) which challenged hard for the lead in the run to the line.
Race 9	BOWL AND JACK TAVERN STAKES - C1 - 520	Lumos Obliviate (5) led out from the traps, but was checked back when Mulberry Roll (7) crossed over, then struck from behind and tailed off last. Indicative (6) was slow to trap, ran around the field to take the lead into the back straight and flew home to win by 5 and a half lengths from Pareora Pearl (3) which finished on after a slow start.
Race 10	BILLS BAR & BISTRO STAKES - C0 - 520	Favourite Blanched (8) jumped quickly and took the lead into the turn, put several lengths on the field, and held on to win by 2 and three quarter lengths from Honey's Memory (1) which was always close up and held off a strong challenge from Mario Scenario (2) which made ground for 3rd after racing handily.
Race 11	GEORGE CALVERT CLEANERS STAKES - C1 - 520	Favourite Tokenism (5) took the lead in the run to the first bend, put many lengths on the field, and held on to win in the run home by a neck from Miss Blue Velvet (3). There was a 12 lengths gap back to the rest of the field. Late scratching: My Kev (B.C.Dann), Rule 269.3 no penalty on dog. Trainer fined $100 under Rule 269.3.
Race 12	SUPERPETS SPRINT - C1 - 295	Kev The Alien (5) jumped smartly to the lead and held off the determined challenge of Scenic Delight (7) in the run to the line to win by a half length. Favourite Homebush Brian (4) ran into traffic early and only battled in the run home. Crazy Mike (D.Kingston), Rule 259 left front dew claw injury. 5 days up to and including 28/10/2003. Dog presented and vet certificate supplied.
Race 13	BARRON'S SUPPLIES SPRINT - C1 - 295	Wild Whiz (2) took the lead shortly after the jump and won by 2 and a quarter lengths from the favourite Dr Schumacher (4) which chased the leader throughout.
