| Race 1 | MAIDEN STAKES FINAL - C0f - 525 | The hot favourite THRILLING SAM was checked at the start when LADY LEAH jumped inwards. THRILLING SAM then raced up onto the heels of LADY LEAH several times during the race and lost momentum. He eventually finished in second place. |
| Race 2 | MAIDEN SPRINT FINAL - C0f - 295 | HILLVIEW RIDGE was a late scratching when found to be 1.8 Kilograms overweight. The Trainer was fined $100-00 under Rule 269 (3). ROCKING QUEEN was slow to begin and settled well back. HUKA JAZZ ran out on the first turn and checked CUTIE'S PRINCE and KOTUKU ARANUI back to the rear. MULBERRY ROLL and ROCKING QUEEN were also pushed wide in the incident and lost ground. CUTIE'S PRINCE tailed the field home by a few lengths and was examined by the vet and stood down for 5 days with a minor back muscle injury. HILLVIEW RIDGE. Trainer W.Atwood. | Race 3 | IMPROVER STAKES FINAL - C1f - 525 | The start of this event was delayed a couple of minutes at the request of the T.A.B. SEASPRAY BEST and NOBLE JEWEL were pushed outwards by ARANUI JAZZ on the first corner. Soon after, LADY SHACKLES galloped onto the back of NOBLE JEWEL and they both lost several lengths and any chance of a placing. |
| Race 4 | IMPROVERS SPRINT FINAL - C1f - 295 | KOJAZZ, WILD WHIZ and FROSTIVAN jostled together on the first corner and FROSTIVAN fell. She unfortunately suffered from a broken leg and was humanely put down by the vet. FROSTIVAN. Trainer G.Frost. Suffered from a fractured leg. Humanely put down. |
| Race 5 | TXT4TIPS (M9 R? 8477) - C2 - 525 | The favourite WHIPPER SNAPPER was checked back to last early in the race. He then moved forward out wide until checked again entering the back straight when RAPID CROSS moved out. He never recovered and finished well back. WINSOME ESCAPE was shuffled back to last when the field packed up on the first turn but he then secured a clear run through the field to win narrowly. |
| Race 6 | BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C3 - 525 | SEASPRAY PADERO was tightened between JEMALONG BRUISER and GOZO LINA on the first corner and fell but was not injured. BANTAM ROOSTER led early in the race but ran out in the back straight and forced BUSTING OUT very wide and ruined both their chances of a placing. |
| Race 7 | CLASSIC ROOFING DASH - C1 - 295 | BLACK PANDORA was a late scratching when found to be suffering from an elevated temperature. The short priced favourite JO JO SAM was a little slow to jump out and was then forced to race wide after starting from the eight box. He made ground well in the straight for third place. BLACK PANDORA. Trainer Caffell and Jackson. Rule 259. Suffering from an elevated temperature. 5 day stand down to 14.10.03. |
| Race 8 | EMPIRE HOTEL - PETONE - C1 - 525 | UPAHUT AXION was slow to begin and was last into the first turn but gradually made up ground to finish fourth. MONTOYA FOG and HOLLY PHOENIX came together and jostled and ran wide on the first bend. MONTOYA FOG also ran very wide on the last bend and finished well back. RIPPA DON led in the early and middle stages but began to fade in the home straight. He was then tightened between UPAHUT AXION and OH SO BLUE, almost fell and finished in last place. |
| Race 9 | SPICERS PAPER DASH - C4/5 - 295 | GLORIA'S CHARM was slow to begin and tailed the field throughout to finish in last place. |
| Race 10 | FOTODOG FOTO'S - WGTN - C2/3 - 295 | EVANDER PHOENIX, DARCY'S DRAWER and SARKAMORE bumped together for a few strides soon after the start and settled well back. BLIND AS was slow away and also settled in the rear group. |
