Race 3 | SEPTEMBER SERIES - C0 - 297 | DISSIPATE moved in down the back straight and checked HOMEBUSH MARY, LISSADELL PRINCE and PIXAR STAR with the favourite PIXAR STAR going back to last. On the bend DISSIPATE again moved in and this time, CUTIE'S PRINCE was checked and he went from a handy position, back to near the rear. |
Race 4 | KIA TOA RUGBY CLUB - C1 - 505 | SOBERANO moved off the rail on the first bend and forced SYLVANIA STAR and LAST TRAM wide which resulted in them losing several lengths. SOBERANO and TURBO JAZZ bumped together several times in the race around the last bend and as a result they lost some momentum. |
Race 5 | SEPTEMBER SERIES - C1 - 297 | The favourite MONTY TYLER was slow away and then ran wide on the bend, eventually finishing second to last after covering extra ground. |
Race 6 | NORTH ISLAND CHAMPS HEAT 1 - C5q - 505 Heat 1 | OPAWA GIRL was galloped on by MY TOOT TOOT on the first corner and she dropped out to last and finished in that position. Race 7 | SEPTEMBER SERIES - C1 - 505 | SOFA LOAFER was slow away and then ran very wide throughout and finished well back in second last place. |
Race 8 | NORTH ISLAND CHAMPS HEAT 2 - C5q - 505 Heat 1 | WINSOME VEIN ran very wide on the first bend and covered extra ground. He then moved back in and finished very well for third place. |
Race 9 | OXFORD HOTEL - C3 - 505 | BROWNING BALE and WHIPPER SNAPPER were slow to begin and then ran very wide on the first bend. BANTAM ROOSTER moved out on the home turn and bumped WHIPPER SNAPPER who was pushed out wide on the track. |
Race 10 | ALBION TAVERN - C2 - 505 | CIVIC KNIGHT was one of the slowest away but then received a clear rails run to be very handy starting the last bend. He was then blocked for a run, checked off the heels of DR CHIVARGO and went back through the field and lost all chance. |
