| Race 2 | www.exposures.co.nz WEBSITE HOSTING STAKES - C1 - 318 | Even despatch. Pat's Legacy was quickly across from the outside box to lead and kept momentum to hold to the line. Storm Edition emerged from the rear group to move along the rail and take the inner track at the straight entrance - running up to second and holding, but not making any real inloads into winner's margin. |
| Race 3 | MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - C0 - 527 | Lickem Luke took the field into the first bend and continued in front down the back straight, pursued purposefully in those stages by Bones Hillman - that dog taking control during the rounding of the final bend and kicking away in the straight for the win. Ebony Rain took second placing in the last strides from a tiring Lickem Luke. |
| Race 4 | OASIS BAR & GRILL STAKES - C1 - 527 | Miss Vegie Web was the quickest to the front after the jump and led until gathered in at the bottom of the back straight by Kaiser Izmir, who then surged away for the line at the head of the field. |
| Race 5 | THE MAD BUTCHER DASH - C2 - 318 | Hot Discovery was slow to start and raced at the rear throughout. Lady Dolly was the pacemaker for all but the duration of the race, only being beaten in the last few strides by Miss Jade. |
| Race 6 | RACK n ROLL VALLEY POOL STAKES - C1 - 527 | Raced in heavy rain. Heyoka Tess demonstrated superiority after launching a run from last position at the start of the back straight, to round the field and finish over the top of the pacemaker, Bitter Sammy, close to the line. Sunset Coast checked off the back of Sue Van Gill midway down the back straight, both dogs being affected, with Sunset Coast drifting towards the rear. Mr Interrogator, looking to move forward from midfield in the back straight suddenly faltered and went back through the field. Mr Interrogator was found to have sustained a broken hock and was euthanised post race. |
| Race 7 | BELLBIRD ARMS STAKES - C2 - 527 | There was significant jostling after the jump when Raise Your Glass crossed quickly from the outside box towards the rail, the inner dogs bunching tightly as a consequence. Kiwi Prince stepped clear of the melee and put an extended break on the field - a break which he held to the line. Oxey, the reserve from box 7, moved wide at the first bend, contacting with and pushing Splicklez wide, and impeding the path of Masonry. Galatasaray just held off Ewen Jake on the line for second. No 4 Tiger Eyes (DD Schofield). Rule 259 - bruised toe. Stand down 5 days to 25.09.03. Dog presented. VC held. No 7 Wendy's Own (DD Schofield). Rule 259 - severe hip soreness. Stand down 14 days to 4.10.03. VC held. |
| Race 8 | CAROL'S TAB MANUREWA DASH - C2/3 - 318 | Nonstop Havoc was the last to jump and did not improve from that position. |
| Race 9 | RADIO PACIFIC DASH - C4/5 - 318 | Waikika Havoc was slow to jump, conceding the field several lengths, and raced towards the rear throughout. Rawhiti Lad raced towards the rear early then veered and remained wide - finishing last at the line.Pure Honcho, after crossing closer to rail and stifling the progress of the favourite My Toby, took an early lead and held strongly to the line. My Toby finished on from midfield for third. |
| Race 10 | 'CORUBA RAIN' STANDING AT STUD STAKES - C2/3 - 527 | Longest Drive was quickly to the lead - guided field into the first bend and then ran strongly in front to the line.Gold Jed, having veered wide early, remained there for the entire journey and beat only one other home. |
