Incident Reports

Race Number Race Name Incident Report
Race 1 TRILLIAN TRUST DASH - C1 - 375 Outer Here was quickly clear after the jump, then headed momentarily by Monty Tyler until Pat's Legacy crossed from the outside box to the rail and raced along the inner to take lead, extended it into the straight and held control impressively to the line. Outer Here drifted noticeably after his early show, finally only beating one other home. Go Wild Chrissy jumped on equal terms with the field, took the early inner running until cramped for room when the outer dogs bunched towards the rail, drifted back and made no further impact.
Race 2 HILLCREST STAKES - C1 - 457 Wee Silver Star guided the field into the straight entrance with Androgyny on the inner of the track and Dr Bertram on their outer. Dr Bertram then surged away to take and hold the lead to the line. Heyoka Tess ran strongly down the straight to feature, but just fail, in a nose decision for third.
Race 3 NZ COMMUNITY TRUST DASH - C2 - 375 Winsome Leeds and Bahama Bale ran with shoulder to shoulder contact after the jump until settling into their runs. Geechie Lobo, the favourite, drove through strongly to the fore in the early stages and was not to be denied at the line.
Race 4 HAMILTON STAKES - C1 - 457 Dizzy Spell was the first to show in front, then Sue Van Gill took field into the straight entrance, only for Gold Pot to hasten forward and put a break on the field which she held decisively to the line.Cawbourne Smile, after being positioned handy to the lead in the early running, was checked from the back by Clock Stopper and dropped towards the rear, flaring out wide at a later stage and finishing last at the line. Clock Stopper also dropped to the rear after the contact but then launched a run which saw him storm through the field with a late run that carried him into third at the line.
Race 5 1ST RAGLAN CLASSIC - R/A - 457 Trendy Rhode was the early leader then Arnies First moved quickly to lead with Winsome Guy on the outer. Entering the straight Winsome Guy surged forward and kept up a sustained run to the line. Gold Toy, midfield in the early stages, pushed out sharply and came into shoulder to shoulder contact with Sunset Coast - both losing forwarding momentum and veering out wide.
Race 6 WWW.DOGTIPS.CO.NZ SPRINT - C3 - 375 Race clear. No 5 Broken Back Jack ( MJ Flipp). Rule 259 . Stand down 10 days to 27.09.03. Dog presented. VC held.
Race 7 2ND RAGLAN CLASSIC - R/A - 457 Start delayed 3 minutes - TAB request with harness race off schedule. The favourite Sunset Jest was quickly to the fore, but was just as quickly headed by Mr Paterson on the inner. Idol Appeal joined the two frontrunners going into the straight until Mr Paterson stormed away and held impressively to the line. Sunset Jest improved in the straight to take second placing from Idol Appeal. Big Teddy Boy angled out sharply after the jump, coming into contact with Lucky Lipinski, then impeded High Pockets noticeably by taking that dog's path.
Race 8 RACEWAY SPRINT - C4/5 - 375 The favourite Aston Marshal was in strife after jumping from box 6 - Gold Amore on his outer and Dream on Girl on his inner converged sharply and squeezed the favourite badly, to the extent that he was forced to vault over the back of Dream On Girl on his way forward. On landing he came into contact with Allegro Comet before settling into stride to run midfield - only making ground late in the straight to finish in behind the placegetters. Le Mans Song was the early leader and held without any real challenge to the line.
Race 9 JONELLE ALLEN AT STUD STAKES - C2 - 457 A level despatch from the boxes. Ewan Jake dropped back suddenly in the early stages when checked by Raise Your Glass - conceding several lengths to the field. Light of Smile was positioned handy to middle stages, then drifted towards the rear, came again in straight but did not feature in the placings.
Race 10 CAMBRIDGE DISTANCE - C1/2d - 630 Calm Abiding was away swiftly to lead into the first bend - put a break on the field and did not reliquish lead before the line.
Race 11 STAR HOTEL STAKES - C2 - 457 Keen Precision sped away at the jump and ran virtually unchallenged from there to the line. Splicklez checked off the back of Spade Time in the early running - went back to the rear and after veering out wide finished at the back.
Race 12 DINSDALE TAVERN STAKES - C3/4 - 457 Race clear.
