| Race 1 | WELCOME STAKES SEPTEMBER SERIES - C0 - 505 | JO JO SAM ran out sharply on the first corner and forced MONTOYA FOG and SOLO CRUISE very wide on the first bend. Soon after, TOKEN ANSWER galloped onto the heels of BALLYSHANNON, checked and ran out sharply pushing NO MORE BLONDES onto SOLO CRUISE and both those dogs fell heavily. They were vetted and stood down for seven days. SOLO CRUISE. Trainer T.McGillivray. Rule 329. Bruising and pain in left hip after a fall. 7 day stand down to 09.09.03. NO MORE BLONDES. | Race 2 | FOTODOG FOTOS WGTN SEPTEMBER SERIES - C0 - 297 | The favourite HUKA JAZZ was first away from the boxes but then ran very wide on the bend, covering extra ground. He then made firm contact with PIXAR STARR on the home turn and dropped out to finish well back. A vets inspection revealed slight abrasions to a hock but no stand down was required. |
| Race 3 | ALBION TAVERN SHANNON SEPTEMBER SERIES - C1 - 297 | KELLY'S ACE moved out and ARANUI JAZZ moved in on the first corner and this resulted in tightening to HURRICANE FOG and LION RED CAPP who were racing in between. LION RED CAPP then galloped onto the heels of ARANUI JAZZ and they dropped back quickly and lost all chance. |
| Race 4 | OXFORD HOTEL SEPTEMBER SERIES - C1 - 505 | GAZZA'S BEAUTY, HAPPY FELLA and SHAVE THE SHEEP all began awkwardly, came together for a few strides and settled at the rear. GAZZA'S BEAUTY made up ground well for fourth place but the other two finished well back. |
| Race 5 | PICK SIX - C2 - 505 | The favourite CIVIC KNIGHT was checked soon after the start and went back to last. He was unable to make up the lost ground and finished well back. RUN WITH THAT was checked and pushed wide and back to last on the first bend. He never recovered and finished at the rear. GOZO LINA was blocked for a run at the end of the back straight when a gap inside FIELDS O'ATHENRY closed. She then challenged on the outside but could not get past and finished a close second. |
| Race 6 | WANGANUI CAR CENTRE - C2 - 297 | GO MOJO, EVANDER PHOENIX and SUMMER SWEET were all slow to begin. EVANDER PHOENIX ran onto the heels of ANOTHER DREAMER on the first corner, moved out and pushed SAI PHAR wide on the bend. |

WHIPPER SNAPPER missed the start by several lengths and tailed the field throughout. WON'T BE DENIED lost momentum when checking off the heels of EDGAR JAY on the home turn when looking to improve.
