| Race 1 | BELLBIRD ARMS MAIDEN SPRINT FINAL - C0f - 318 | Johhny Tulloch sprinted away to the lead and did not relinquish it before the line.Miss Rummo was trapped in the middle of dogs and jostled in the early running, being turned sideways momentarily before regaining her stride. High Pockets was up handy to the lead but was also subject to jostling went the bunching took place and drifted back to be second last on the rail - only to be checked and blocked again by Miss Rummo and other dogs. High Pockets flared out wide suddenly, off the rail, and came into sharp contact with Oh My Boy, taking that dog out of the race and almost falling himself at the contact. No 4 Nathan Bale (GN Pomeroy). Rule 259 - torn main pad, back left leg.Stand down 30 days to 24.09.03. VC held. No 9 Curden (HR Bond). Rule 259 - sore wrist/flexion. Stand down 5 days to 30.078.03. | Race 2 | RACK 'N' ROLL VALLEY POOL DASH - C1 - 318 | Winsome Leeds was away quickly and held to the line. Lowen Behold was slow to jump and although regaining the rear of the field made no further improvement from there. Winsome Dough pushed out and across sharply after the jump, shuffling Tempest Reign, Winsome Eels and Faithful Bart wide as well - Tempest Reign having to scramble to regain momentum. |
| Race 3 | RADIO PACIFIC STAKES FINAL - C1f - 527 | Calm Abiding was away on equal terms with the field and raced handy to the lead until being taken out of the race at the first bend when squeezed badly for room - Calm Abiding drifted back and was jostled by Our Madge en route. Musical Drama took the race with ease after establishing an early break. Shiraz Royale was affected by the early tightening of the field but came strongly along the inner from midfield entering the straight and ran on for second. |
| Race 4 | BELLBIRD ARMS STAKES - C1 - 527 | Seven starters with late scratching of Rikkilee Kiwi. Masonry established a lead in the early stages which he held to the line. The favourite Splicklez was slow from the inside draw, was squeezed for room during the first bend, drifted to last and finished wide and at back. No 4 Minimoo (MH Knight). Rule 259 - lacerations to toes. Dog presented. Stand down 5 days to 30.08.03. VC held. LATE SCRATCHING No 2 Rikkilee Kiwi ( NP Lowen). Rule 258. In season. Stand down 30 days to 25.09.03. Dog presented. VC held. |
| Race 5 | CATERING PROFESSIONALS DASH - C2 - 318 | Gentle Jade sprinted away from the field early and held to the line. Faithful Habit missed the jump, conceding many lengths and did little more than recover to the back of the field from that point. |
| Race 6 | MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - C1/2 - 527 | Raise Your Glass from box 7 crossed strongly towards the rail after the jump, causing inner dogs to bunch, with Joebee's Gem particularly affected, being checked on the inner and drifting towards the rear. Bowing Flyer strode clear of the bunching early, put a break on the field and held impressively by a margin in excess of six lengths. |
| Race 7 | CAROL'S TAB MANUREWA STAKES - C2 - 527 | Melissa Bale took an early lead and dictated the race from there to the line.Although, like Star Company from the adjacent inside box, Just The Don from box 2 was slow to start before he moved along the rail throughout the race to take third placing at the finish. |
| Race 8 | THE MAD BUTCHER DASH - C4/5 - 318 | Tempest Hove and My Tony disputed lead in earnest after the jump before both crossed towards inner where My Toby sprinted away to establish a break which he carried to the line. Gold Amore was checked back when Tempest Hove and then My Toby took his line. No 1 Macain (NP Green). Rule 259 - torn supra spinatus muscle, shoulder blade. Stand down 10 days to 05.09.03. Dog presented. VC held. |
| Race 9 | EGH INTERNET GREYHOUNDS STAKES - C4 - 527 | Winsome Hero went quickly across from box 4 towards the rail and checked off the back of Almost A Dancer, at the rear on the inner, causing that dog to lose momentum, and affecting his chances to figure prominently in the race. Winsome Hero continued forward and then came into contact with Black Honda, causing that dog to scramble to regain footing before tailing off and finishing back.Black Echo put in a sustained run to carry an early lead to the line. |
| Race 10 | LES PYKE MEMORIAL STAKES - C3 - 527 | Six starters only. Longest Drive was the early leader, then Dallas Appollo took the field through the middle stages and into the straight before Token Warrior, who had trailed either second or third throughout, drove strongly down the inner of the track to take the race in the final strides to the post. No 4 Just Curly( JB Hastie). Rule 259 - injured toe. Stand down 30 days to 24.09.03. No 7 Waitak Central (Reed/Thompson). Rule 259 - swelling and pain from suspected spider bite.
