Judicial report: Weather: Showery, with high gusty winds. The trainer of Winsome Thief, DM Smith, presented the greyhound with a weight variance of (under) 2.1k. In terms of Rule 269 the greyhound was a late scratching and the trainer fined $100.00.

Race 1	DINSDALE DASH - C0 - 375	Supreme Bet and Muslie were noticeably slow at start. High Pockets was positioned handy to the leaders in early stages before shifting ground outwards and then straddling the back of Mega Who - Mega Who dropped straight back to the rear, whilst High Pockets, also dropping back, came into the path of Supreme Bet and ended up falling after striking that dog. High Pockets recovered his footing and was able to finish.
Race 2	MAIDEN STAKES - C0 - 457	Ceramic slow at start. Rikkilee Kiwi jumped quickly and headed immediately to the rail, squeezing Gigiwatts back and blocking her path when impacting and pushing ahead of Mana Watt, who had drawn the inside box, on the rail.Rikkilee Kiwi surged away and was not challenged to any real measure from there. In midfield during the bend Gigawatts moved away from the rail, pushed into Fido Dido, causing that dog to skew sideway back onto the trailing Ceramic.Fido Dido drifted right to the back and did not improve from there.
Race 3	RAGLAN DASH - C0 - 375	Seven starters.Lowen Behold entered the straight in strong pursuit of Rum Dancer, ranged up alongside him half way down the straight, nudged him towards rail as he surged to the front, and held to the line.Run Like Brodie dropped to the back after an early check from Rusty Rover, ranged wide in his running, and remained at the back throughout.
Race 4	IMPROVERS HEAT 1 - C1q - 457 Heat 1	Prairie Fire conceded the field several lengths when slow at the start. The favourite Musical Drama was the early leader until Mr Paterson stepped clear of considerable jostling around him to take control and hold it to the line. Masonry came from well back down the outer to finish third.
Race 5	MAIDEN DASH - C0 - 375	Seven starters. Race clear.
Race 6	IMPROVERS HEAT 2 - C1q - 457 Heat 1	Keen Precision was quickly to the fore and held sustained run to the line. Calm Abiding surged down the straight for second placing, coming from the back runners at the turn. No 4 Faithful Bart (NP Green). Rule 259.Probable spider bite, right hind metatarsal. Stand down 4 days to 18.08.03.VC held.
Race 7	TAYLOR STREET SPRINT - C1 - 375	Seven starters, with Crusing Dancer gaining a start in race 6. Ben Vegas took an early lead and was not headed from there. The favourite Hot Discovery settled back in the early stages then whilst midfield looking to improve checked off the back of No Invitation. Hot Discovery did run on in the straight but did not place at finish.Summertime Boy moved across in front of Dorthy Bale and impeded her path after the jump before moving on to impact with No Invitation. Summertime Boy and No Invitation overcame the setbacks received by finishing second and third respectively. No 3 Ebony Memory ( JE Coxon). Rule 259. Stand down 30 days to 12.09.03. No 6 Cruising Dancer (MH Knight) - gained start in race 6.
Race 8	DISCOMBE RTOAD DASH - C1 - 375	Seven starters with late scratching of Winsome Thief - presented with weight variance in excess of margin allowed.Miss Jade, an import on debut, took and held the lead from an early stage to the line.Early Summer was subjected to jostling when dogs bunched near rail in the initial stages of race - was squeezed back and deprived of racing room - remained at back with no improvement noted. LATE SCRATCHING No 3 Winsome Thief ( DM Smith). Rule 269. Weight variance of (under) 2.1k.
Race 9	HAMILTON DISTANCE - C1d - 630	Seven starters. Taiho Tiger was in command by the first bend, having pushed across to the front at the expense of Hostile Twist, and dominated from that point, recording a winning margin of 8 lengths at the line.
Race 10	HANNON ROAD SPRINT - C2/3 - 375	Just Curly, drawn at box 4, moved out at the jump, impacting with and checking Hot Pockets before coming into contact with Random, the starter from box 7. With the outside dogs jostling and bunching as detailed, the three dogs drawn on the inner, Bold Playboy, at 1, Evander Phoenix at 2, and Kedo's Ned at 3, skipped clear and at the finish replicated the box draw in their finish order.
Race 11	FORREST ROAD STAKES - C3/4 - 457	Rose Groover was checked in the early running when midfield and drifted, finishing well back. Kiwi Magic took the honours in a finish which saw four dogs swamp the pace maker Dallas Apollo in the final strides to the line.
