1). Trainer Mr J Foot presented GRACE FOOT to his primary veterinarian on Monday 4 March following this event where the diagnosis of both gracilis muscles torn and a left triceps injury was confirmed with GRACE FOOT to be spelled.

Satisfactory trial completed:

1). ZIPPING BASILISK (G Farrell) - completed a satisfactory trial as required.

General:

1). A ballot was drawn under Rule 120(1) following the dead heat for 2nd place in Race 10, New Zealand Derby Heat 2. BIG TIME JOKER (L Cole) was drawn ahead of LOGGER FOR LIFE (G Hodgson) to gain a start in the R/Af 2024 NZ Derby (Group 1) Final.
