1st February 2024 - Christchurch GRC

1). A hearing was held on the 26th of February 2024 to hear the charges against Trainer Mr R Casey, the particulars being that Mr Casey willing abused and threatened GRNZ employee Mr J Bell and in doing so contravened GRNZ Rule 156(g)(ii). After hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a 2-month suspension of Mr Casey's license with this being wholly suspended pending no further breaches of GRNZ Rule 156(g)(ii) for 12 months from the 29th February 2024 and in addition imposed a fine of $2500.00.

26th February 2024 - Christchurch GRC

1). Trainer R Casey has notified Stewards that ANN ANCHILEE had pulled up with fibula soreness from this meeting with this necessitating it's scratching from tomorrow's meeting.
