Christchurch GRC 1st February 2024

1). Trainer R Casey reported that x-rays taken from OFF GRID did not find a fracture however the greyhound was diagnosed with soft tissue damage to its right hock with it now having a spell.

2). Trainer L Anderton advised Stewards that the required x-rays taken from his greyhound 'MIGHTY SOX' revealed bone chips in both its left and right hocks with the greyhounds Incapacitation period uplifted to 42 days and it must trial prior to resuming.

Race 6	Denise & Graham Barron Memorial - C1 - 295	HOMEBUSH KARIN (4) - referred to the Veterinarian for continuing to under preform where it was reported to have mild swelling to its right hock with a 14-day incapacitation issued.
Race 7	Colin Counsell Memorial - C1q - 520 Heat 1	GOLDSTAR TILDY (10/8) - referred to the Veterinarian after losing ground racing down the back straight before faltering entering the final bend becoming awkward in its gallop where it was reported to have sustained a fractured right hock with a 60-day incapacitation issued.
Race 8	Graham Campbell & Ron Todd Memorial - C1q - 520 Heat 2	Stewards inspected the area of track where GOLDSTAR TILDY faltered in the previous race and found it satisfactory to continue racing.
Race 9	Gerald & Lindsay Cleeve Memorial - C1q - 520 Heat 3	HOMEBUSH COREY (1) - referred to the Veterinarian after making contact with the rail in the run to the lure where it was reported to have sustained a laceration ot its left elbow with a small amount of bruising and right hock pain with a 7-day incapacitation issued. KATY DID IT (8) - referred to the Veterinarian after losing ground with the field rounding the final bend and cleared of injury.
