GO JOCK (3) - fell into bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stood down for the mandatory 5 days as per GRNZ Rule LR41A(1). MAYFIELD MINX (8) - referred to the Veterinarian after being badly checked into bend and cleared of injury.
Race 2	Added Energy Stakes - C0 - 457	OPAWA ELLIOT (8) - turned head inwards in back straight and marred inside runner. Stood down for 28 days and must complete a Satisfactory Trial.
Race 3	Oreti Beach Run - C1 - 457
Race 4	Ascot Fruit Market - C1 - 457	HURRICANE DEMI (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after losing ground when checked on the final turn and reported to have right stifle soreness with a 7 day incapacitation issued.
Race 5	Dave Robbie Photographer - C2 - 390	HOMEBUSH BULL (4) - badly tightened and fell into bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and reported to have a suspected fractured right wrist with a 42 day incapacitation issued. The dog will have X-rays taken tomorrow and Stewards will follow up the results. Must complete a Satisfactory Trial prior to resuming. Subsequent X-rays revealed no fracture but shoulder and biceps soreness with the original stand downs in place. HOMEBUSH RICHIE (7) - referred to the Veterinarian after losing chance when badly dragged down on the final bend and cleared of injury.

Race 8	Southland & Otago Photo Finish - C2/3 - 457	OANA BALE (2) - referred to the Veterinarian after losing ground after being checked in the back straight and reported to have skin wounds to left tarsal and right foot with a 5 day incapacitation issued. Stewards will follow up the recovery of this bitch in the coming days.

Race 10	Top Class Dash - C5 - 390	MITCHAM SCOTT (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after checked outwards on the final turn and running very wide and cleared of injury. PICK AND GO (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after losing ground when dragged down into the bend and cleared of injury.

Race 12	Ascot Park Tricode Facility - C2 - 390	GIANT LURCH (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after faltering on the bend and reported to have a suspected fractured right hock with a 42 day incapacitation issued. A Satisfactory Trial is required prior to this dog racing again. The Greyhound was immediately transferred to the local Veterinary Clinic with X-rays taken. Stewards will follow up with the results of these x-rays in the coming days.X-rays confirmed a fractured hock with the greyhound undergoing surgey and entering the RTR program. Standdown upgrade to 90 days.(Updated 21/1/24)*
