Wanganui GRC - 8th December 2023

1) Stewards followed up the recovery of NIGHTHAWK STYLE with trainer M Roberts following this meeting with Mr. Roberts advising that the greyhound had sustained a small laceration to its inside toe on its front left foot but had recovered and returned to his kennels well. Mr. Roberts further advised that he was disappointed with the performance and as such would being giving the greyhound a brief freshen up prior to resuming with its racing programme.

2) Stewards followed up the recovery of BIG TIME SPLASH with kennel representative Ms. E Cole following this meeting with Ms. Cole advising the Greyhound had come through the race well and BIG TIME SPLASH will be continuing with her current preparation.

Race 2	Display Associates C1/2 520m - C1/2 - 520	BIG TIME NANDO (7) - referred to the Veterinarian after becoming awkwardly placed to the outside of runners becoming unbalanced, then contacted from behind losing ground and cleared of injury.
Race 3	Presidents Dash C1 305m - C1 - 305	ELUSIVE ALIBI (4) - when questioned into improved performance trainer Mr. R Waite advised Stewards that ELUSIVE ALIBI had benefited from a brief freshen up, as well as beginning quickly and leading today.
Race 4	Greyhounds As Pets C1 305m - C1 - 305	There was a 2 minute delay to the start of this race due to the short turn around between races 3 & 4.
Race 5	Property Brokers Floyd & Toy Real Estate C5 305m - C5 - 305	BIG TIME PARTY (2) - referred to the Veterinarian after becoming awkwardly placed on heels entering the home straight, becoming unbalanced, heavily contacting outside runners and cleared of injury. BIG TIME SONIC (7) - referred to the Veterinarian after receiving heavy contact entering the home straight and cleared of injury. BIG TIME KENZIE (8) - referred to the Veterinarian after receiving heavy contact entering the home straight and cleared of injury.
