1) Trainer Mrs. K Lincoln-Papuni advised Stewards that x-rays taken of THRILLING SUSIE's (race 2) left front foot had confirmed a fractured toe with the Greyhound now being retired.

General:

1) Selected greyhounds competing in solo training trials were required to provide a sample of urine for the purpose of out of competition testing.

Late Scratchings:

1) BIG TIME SEATTLE (L Cole) - race 4.

Satisfactory Trials Required:

1) CALYPSO KING (R Waite) - race 6. Required to complete satisfactory trial.

Race 1	Greyhounds Make Great Pets Distance 660m C0 - C0d - 660	RECKLESS ERIC (1) - when questioned into today's perceived improved performance trainer Mr. M Goodier advised Stewards that while the winning performance was not expected he had been setting the Greyhound for distance racing and he had anticipated a bold showing. BIG TIME CENTRAL (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after receiving checks through the back straight and cleared of injury. CHI LIN (5) - when questioned into today's perceived improved performance kennel representative Mr. J Bell advised Stewards that today's effort was not unexpected as the Greyhound had been working and trialing well leading into today's event.
Race 2	Rubbish & Junk Removals C0 457m - C0 - 457	DIRTY DENZEL (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after receiving contact shortly after the start and cleared of injury. When questioned into performance trainer Mr. M Goodier advised Stewards that DIRTY DENZEL had taken longer to come back from a recent wrist injury than anticipated and he was happy with today's effort as the Greyhound had run on well over the concluding stages. Performance and trainers comments noted. BOOM BOOM BOOM (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after being contacted shortly after the start on two occasions and cleared of injury. When questioned into performance trainer Mrs. C Morris advised Stewards that this was the Greyhounds second start over a middle distance and her intention is to give him one further middle distance start before being given a brief spell. Performance and trainers comments noted.
Race 3	Nightrave Greyhounds Adoptions C1 457m - C1 - 457
Race 4	Outback Trading Company C1 375m - C1 - 375	BIG TIME SEATTLE late scratching when presented outside the allowable weight variance. OPAWA TART (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after beginning awkwardly, and stumbling then dislodging her muzzle shortly after and cleared of injury.
Race 5	TAB Racing Mega Multi Buster C3/C4 457m - C3/4 - 457	There was a slight delay to the start of this event with the lure needing to be repositioned. The head on camera in the home straight was unavailable for the purposes of race reporting.
Race 6	Red Snapper Seafoods Reverse Criteria C1 - C1 - 375	CALYPSO KING (8) - Stewards queried the performance of this greyhound with trainer Mr. R Waite. After considering the submissions tendered by Mr. Waite, the Stewards own observations and a veterinary examination that revealed sensitivity around the right gracilis muscle requiring a 10 day period of incapacitation the performance was deemed unsatisfactory, and the greyhound was stood down pending a trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion as per GRNZ Rule 132(A)1. Mr. Waite advised Stewards it was his intention to spell CALYPSO KING prior to completing the required satisfactory trial.
Race 7	Worlds Fastest Couch Potatoes C1/C2 457m - C1/2 - 457	HE'S ICONIC (3) - referred to the Veterinarian after being tightened nearing the home straight, appearing to contact the rail and cleared of injury.
Race 8	Big Barrel Palmerston North C1/C2 375m - C1/2 - 375	CLIFTON BOY (1) - presented to the Veterinarian at trainers request after being found to have minor bleeding from hind leg on returning to the wash bay where it was reported to have lacerations in the right hock area with a 10 day incapacitation issued. BIG TIME SCOOTER (2) - referred to the Veterinarian after tightened entering the bend, losing ground where it was reported to have split webbing left front with a 14 day incapacitation issued. HIGHVIEW BRUCE (3) - referred to the Veterinarian after being tightened entering the bend, becoming unbalanced, losing ground as a result where it was reported to have pain on flexion right hind 5th digit with a 10 day incapacitation issued.

Race 11	Whanganui House Washing C3 375m - C3 - 375	BIG TIME IVANA (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after being contacted and dragged from behind nearing the bend, then tightened, losing ground, on the point of the bend and cleared of injury. OPAWA MAIA (7) - referred to the Veterinarian after heavily contacted shortly after the start, then contacted BIG TIME IVANA from behind nearing the bend. Contacted again nearing the home straight, losing ground and cleared of injury.
