Supplementary Report:

1). Upon reviewing the Christchurch GRC's meeting on the 16th of October Stewards have spoken with trainer Mr R Evans in regard to the conduct of his greyhound 'GOLDSTAR BRODIE' in Race 3. After taking into account Stewards observations the greyhound's performance was deemed unsatisfactory and it must undergo a Satisfactory Trial prior to resuming.

General:

1). Trainer Mr J Johnson was spoken to regarding his non-attendance to the Stewards room at the Christchurch GRC's meeting on the 16th of October 2023 when directed to do so. This was in relation to the transportation vehicle he transported greyhounds to the race meeting at Addington Raceway on this day. After hearing Mr Johnson's explanation for his non-attendance to the Stewards room he was issued with a caution. Mr Johnson was further cautioned and reminded of his professional obligations when answering questions by Stewards. In relation to the vehicle that Mr Johnson transported his greyhounds to Addington Raceway he was issued with a Minor Infringement Notice for using a vehicle without a current warrant of fitness and fined the sum of $300.00. In taking this action Stewards considered advice previously given to Mr Johnson regarding the acquisition of a WOF before the vehicle could be used for transporting greyhounds.

Race 7	O'Shea's Public House Sprint Feature - SPECf - 295	GOLDSTAR DYNASTY (1) - referred to the Veterinarian after falling at the lure and reported to have a shoulder joint strain with a 14 day incapacitation issued. ALTERNATE SHOT (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after falling at the lure and cleared of injury.
Race 8	Red Snapper Seafood Sumner Stakes Feature - C5 - 520	SEFTON HEIGHTS (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after falling at the lure where it was reported to have a suspected left elbow fracture with a 60 day incapacitation issued and x-rays required tomorrow to which Stewards will follow up. As a consequence to this and acting on the advice from the On Track Veterinarian it was in the greyhounds best interest to suspend the requirement of a sample being taken. Must trial prior to resuming
Race 9	Springston Hotel Distance Feature - INVdf - 732	SPACE BOY (5) - referred to the Veterinarian as a precaution after giving ground late in the run home and cleared of injury. OPAWA BERRY (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after sustaining a check rounding the first bend before giving ground thereafter where it was reported to have a suspected right metatarsal fracture with a 60 day incapacitation issued with x-rays required tomorrow to which Stewards will follow up. Must trial prior to resuming.
Race 10	Selwyn Rakaia Vets Ltd Stakes Feature - INV - 520	ALPHA RILEY (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after giving ground late in the run home and reported to have a mild sprain to its left wrist with a 7 day incapacitation issued. Trainer J McInerney Jnr advised he would not race the greyhound over 520m in the immediate future.
