General:

1). An investigation was opened and adjourned into the circumstances leading into the scratching of THRILLING TOMMY.

Scratchings:

1). OPAWA STREAM (C Steele), OMATICAYA (P Heterick) and ROWDY ALL DAY (A Christiansen) were all withdrawn due gaining starts as reserve runners at other meetings during the week as their 2nd start in 7 days.

The Judge had announced a clear to load signal with the first line of runners boxing away before requesting a delay for an error with the photo finish computer. Boxed runners were removed from the boxes to undergo veterinary examinations and await further clearance from the Judge. There was a further delay due to the veterinarian tending to a greyhound in the kennels.
Race 2	MPS Fencing Sprint - C1 - 318	MARSHA MOUSE (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after interference first turn becoming unbalanced and reported to have a spike wound with a 7 day incapacitation issued. WAITERIMU GEM (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after interference first turn becoming unbalanced and cleared of injury.
Race 3	SENZ 1476am Sprint - C2 - 318	PERSIAN CHIEF (2) - referred to the Veterinarian after contacting the rail and reported to have left stifle soreness with a 7 day incapacitation issued.
