1) Connections of RIGHTEOUS RAPPER (race 7) advised Stewards that x-rays taken on Saturday 21 October 2023 were inconclusive with further examination being carried out this week. Stewards will follow up again in the coming days.

General:

1) Selected greyhounds competing in solo training trials were required to provide a sample of urine for the purpose of out of competition testing.

DOING IT GOOF (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after being heavily contacted shortly after the start, in turn heavily contacting ROWDY RUDY and cleared of injury. BOW BELLE BETH (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after appearing to contact the rail entering the bend and cleared of injury.
Race 3	Red Snapper Seafoods, Christchurch C1 375m - C1 - 375	RODNEY TROTTER (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after receiving contact shortly after the start, then being squeezed between runners entering the bend, losing ground and cleared of injury.
Race 4	Paul Claridge Electrical C4 375m - C4 - 375	SCOOBY BLUE (3) - presented to the Veterinarian at trainers request with a split webbing where it was confirmed to have a split webbing right front foot with a 14 day incapacitation issued. OPAWA MAIA (8) - referred to the Veterinarian after contacting the rail shortly after the winning post and cleared of injury.

Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have right hock fracture. The Greyhound was transported immediately to GRNZ's contracted Veterinary Clinic for treatment with this being followed up in the coming days. A 90 day incapacitation has been issued and the Greyhound must trial prior to racing again.
