Wanganui GRC - 07 July 2023

1). Race 9 - BIG TIME BIRDY (L Cole) was transported immediately to GRNZ's contracted Veterinary Clinic for treatment. BIG TIME BIRDY underwent surgery 11 July 2023 and from there will be transferred to the RTR facility for recovery and rehabilitation.

Race 4	Paul Claridge Electrical C1 - C1 - 457	ARTHUR DALEY (7) - referred to the Veterinarian after colliding with a falling runner where it was reported to have whip muscle soreness with a 7 day incapacitation issued. BIG TIME FRAZER (8) - Faltered free of interference entering the bend and was then badly checked by trailing runners Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a fractured right hock. The Greyhound was transported immediately to GRNZ's contracted Veterinary Clinic for treatment with this being followed up in the coming days. A 90 day incapacitation has been issued and the Greyhound must trial prior to racing again.
Race 5	Federal Morgan At Stud C4/C5 - C4/5 - 457	Stewards inspected the track where BIG TIME FRAZER faltered in the previous race and found it to be free of any anomaly.

Race 9	Red Snapper Seafoods, Christchurch PBD CI - C1 - 375	OSCAR'S REALITY (3) - referred to the Veterinarian after interference shortly after the jump and again entering the bend causing greyhound to lose ground thereafter and cleared of injury.
