Race 4	Garrard's Horse And Hound Stakes - C0 - 520	OPAWA OLIVE (R Wales) was a late scratching at kenneling when outside the allowable weight variance. GOLDSTAR WESTERN (3) - Stewards queried the performance of this greyhound with Trainer R Evans after this runner looked outwards free of interference in the initial stages. After considering submissions tendered by Mr Evans, a veterinary examination which revealed no clinical abnormalities and the Stewards own observations the performance was deemed unsatisfactory and the greyhound was stood down pending a trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion as per GRNZ Rule LR132A(1). GOLDSTAR BRODIE (8) - turned inwards and marred inside runner in home straight. Stood down for 28 days and pending a Satisfactory Trial as per GRNZ Rules 123 and 127(a).
Race 5	Happy Birthday Doug Allen PBD Dash - C2 - 295	GOLDSTAR YANKEE (1) - referred to the Veterinarian after being forced on to the rail just short of the line and reported to have a deep shoulder/triceps laceration with a 42 day incapacitation issued. The connections advised that the Greyhound has been retired from racing.
