Auckland GRC - 2 July 2023

1). Trainer R Roper has reported that BIG TIME BOSTON had undergone x-rays to its Metatarsal which determined the greyhound to have sustained a fracture.

2). Trainer P Heterick has reported that STARLINK had undergone x-rays to its right hock which determined the greyhound to have not sustained a fracture. Mr Heterick further reported that the greyhound would be spelled prior to any resumption of work.

1). ZIPPING ANGIE (G Farrell) - marring.

Injury trial:

1). HIGHVIEW BRUCE (M McPhee) - must trial prior to resuming.

General:

1). Selected Greyhounds completing training trials were subjected to having urine samples collected for the purpose of out of competition testing.

Race 1	Follow Waikato Greyhounds on Facebook R/O PBD Sprint - C0 - 318	NINE CARAT (1) - referred to the Veterinarian after brushing the rail first turn where it was reported to have mild soreness on palpation of left triceps with a 7 day incapacitation issued. ROWDY CHAOS (3) - referred to the Veterinarian after getting hampered and unbalanced soon after the finish line and cleared of injury. ZIPPING ANGIE (4) - turned its head outwards towards BIG TIME KEY early in the final straight making muzzle contact with this runner. Stood down for 28 days and pending a satisfactory trial as per GRNZ Rule 123 & 127(b). A precautionary veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. WAITERIMU GEM (7) - fell when tightened and hampered becoming unbalanced and falling soon after the finish line. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a very small spike wound on top of the left hind digit 2 with no stand down required. Stood down for the mandatory 5 days as per GRNZ Rule LR41(A)1.
