Palmerston North GRC - 17 May 2023

1). TAI PO (race 2) was transferred directly from the PNGRC track to Animates Vetcare. X-rays were performed and surgery followed the next day 18 May 23. TAI PO was transferred to the RTR facility 19 May 23 to begin rehabilitation.

Whanganui GRC - 19 May 2023

1). JACKANEEDUP (race 3) underwent x-rays 20 May 23 which confirmed a right calcaneus fracture. Surgery was performed 22 May 23 at Animates Vetcare. JACKANEEDUP was later transferred to the RTR facility to begin rehabilitation.

General:

1). Leniency was extended by the Stewards to Trainers of dogs in the 520m races to ensure catchers were available due to a lack of suitable catchers.

Race 5	Wanganui Jockey Club C5 PBD 305m - C5 - 305	MEXICAN CUTIE (6) - was referred to the Veterinarian, however, due to a communication error was inadvertently not examined by the on-course Veterinarian. Connections were contacted by Stewards and advised that they are required to notify any anomaly in the coming days.
Race 6	Wanganui Greyhounds C2/3 520m - C2/3 - 520	CHURN IT UP (1) - referred to the Veterinarian after being dragged down entering the first bend and cleared of injury. BIG TIME POPPY (2) - referred to the Veterinarian after being bumped sideways shortly after the start by BIG TIME WALTER where it was reported to have general muscle soreness with a 7 day incapacitation issued. BIG TIME WALTER (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after being dictated down the track shortly after the start and colliding with PIG TIME POPPY where it was reported to have mild right gracilis pain with a 7 day incapacitation issued.
