1). OPAWA SEAN (R Wales) which won today's qualifying trial was subjected to post-race sampling.

Race 2	Mayhounds PBD Sprint - C0 - 295	ESMERALDA JEWEL (3) - referred to the Veterinarian after making contact with the running rail entering the bend and cleared of injury.
Race 3	Clarkson Sign Studio Sprint - C0 - 295
Race 4	Addington Events Centre PBD Dash - C1 - 295	HOMEBUSH SPARKLE (5) - turned in the boxes and failed to take a competitive part of the event. Stood down pending a satisfactory box trial. (Subsequently completed on 18 May) SMASH TALK (8) - referred to the Veterinarian after falling in the run to the lure having its head make heavy contact with the track which in turn caused the greyhound to become disorientated causing it to repeatedly fall to the track. It was reported to have cramping with the possibility of concussion with a 10 day incapacitation issued and a Veterinary clearance and satisfactory trial required prior to resuming.
Race 5	Suck It Up Ltd Distance - C0d - 645	LET'S PARTY (8) - referred to the Veterinarian after being severely checked rounding the final bend and cleared of injury.

Race 7	Balcairn Stock Foods & Pet Supplies Ltd Stakes - C1 - 520	SWEET RACHEL (2) - referred to the Veterinarian after being dragged down entering the first bend and cleared of injury.
Race 8	Active Electrical Christchurch PBD Dash - C1 - 295
Race 9	Red Snapper Seafood Sumner PBD Dash - C1 - 295	The all clear was delayed until such time as Stewards were afforded the opportunity to view all available films after the Lure lost approaching the finish line. After viewing all films Stewards were satisfied that no greyhound had their chance of finishing in a higher placing materially prejudiced and placings were cleared. The Lure was replaced and tested to the satisfaction of the lure driver prior to the following event.

Race 11	Racing Again Thursday 18 May PBD Dash - C2 - 295
Race 12	Rose & Thistle PBD Sprint - C2 - 295	TORPEDO BAY (2) - referred to the Veterinarian after faltering rounding the bend where it was reported to have a right gracilis with a 42 day incapacitation issued. Must trial prior to resuming. AMURI RURU (3) - stewards questioned the improved performance of this greyhound with the kennel representative J McInerney Jnr advising he couldn't apportion anything to the form reversal and was surprised by today's effort.
