Adjudicative Decisions:

1). Trainer P Heterick admitted an offence under GRNZ Rule 156 (w) in that he failed to comply with the direction of GRNZ Rule 9 - Definitions of a Stand Down Period - in that he allowed his greyhound 'FIREY SUZIE' to compete in a satisfactory trial on the 30th March 2023 when under a stand down period of 10 days under GRNZ Rule 76(4) for its scratching from the Waikato GRC's meeting on the 23rd March 2023. The definition of stand down period under GRNZ Rule 9 means the period of time a greyhound is ordered not to compete in an Event or satisfactory trial. The Adjudicative Committee, after considering the facts imposed a fine of $450.00.

General:

1). PADDY FIELD (G Farrell) - had a urine sample taken after winning a qualifying trial.

Race 7	Pump & Engineering Services PBD Sprint - C1 - 318	BIG TIME CHARM (1) - referred to the Veterinarian after brushing the rail rounding the bend and cleared of injury.
Race 8	Golden Fern PBD Sprint - C5 - 318	OPAWA SNOWDROP (3) - referred to the Veterinarian after getting on heels rounding the bend becoming unbalanced and cleared of injury. ZIPPING DIXIE (7) - Stewards queried the performance of this greyhound with Trainer G Farrell when ZIPPING DIXIE turned its head outwards for several strides in the final straight. After considering the submissions tendered by G Farrell, a veterinary examination which revealed no clinical abnormalities and the Stewards own observations the performance was deemed unsatisfactory, and the greyhound was stood down pending a trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion as per GRNZ Rule 129.
