Supplementary Report - Christchurch GRC 14 April 2023:

1). Trainer D Kingston advised Stewards that subsequent to this meeting OPTIONAL EXTRA had x-rays taken that revealed ligament damage to its left front foot. This greyhound is required to complete a Satisfactory Injury Trial prior to resuming.

General:

1). Stewards made inquires with co- trainer Mr D Fahey into the reason OPAWA SUPERSTAR was nominated for a sprint race today when the greyhound had only ever raced in its previous 45 starts over middle distance. Mr Fahey explained that the dog was not seasoned enough for a hard run in the Robinson Rosebowl last night and instead of trialling it today decided to take the opportunity of racing in a totalisator race.
