Judicial report: General:

1). It was brought to the attention of Stewards that the lure lost power during solo trailing prior to the meeting with this being investigated by the track curator Mr N Rugg and tested to the satisfaction of the lure driver Mr M Lozell prior to the running of the meeting.

2). Race 11 was declared a no race due to a lure malfunction.

3). Following the lure malfunction in race 11, and no obvious cause identified, the remainder of this meeting was abandoned with the club undertaking to perform remedial work on the lure and inspect the rail prior to resuming racing at this venue.

Late Scratchings:

1). BUNDEE BOMBER (N Green) - prior to arriving on course.

2). SOLDIER BLUE (T Patton) - on retrieval from the kennels.

Race 3	Happy Birthday Hayley Mullane - C1 - 457	SHANMARIA (4) - fell entering the first turn. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stood down for the mandatory 5 days as per GRNZ LR41A.
Race 4	Virkon*S Disinfectant PBD Sprint - C1 - 375	BUNDEE BOMBER was a late scratching when found to be in season prior to travelling.

Race 8	CopRice Working Dog Beef Sprint - C2 - 375	SOLDIER BLUE was a late scratching on veterinary advice on retrieval from the kennel for muscle soreness. There was a delay to the start of this event due to a lure malfunction during stir ups. It was established part of the undercarriage of the lure had become detached and was rectified with the lure tested prior to the continuation of racing.

Race 10	Mayhounds Greyhound Rehoming Group Stakes - C3 - 457
Race 11	Vetora Cambridge Sprint - C5 - 375	This race was declared a no race following a lure malfunction entering the first turn. Stewards, trainers and club officials could not be satisfied the equipment was operating at an acceptable standard and the remaining race was subsequently abandoned. All runners engaged in this event underwent veterinary examinations as below. OPAWA LUKE (1) - referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have pain in both long head triceps with a 10 day incapacitation issued. NEED PROOF (2) - referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a possible right fore radius ulna fracture. The Greyhound was transported immediately to GRNZ's contracted Veterinary Clinic for treatment. A 42 day incapacitation has been issued and the Greyhound must trial prior to racing again. Following immediate X-rays it was established no fracture was present and a suggested return to racing plan put in place. Notwithstanding this the current official incapacitation period remains. THRILLING FREDDY (4) - referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a fractured left hock. The Greyhound was transported immediately to GRNZ's contracted Veterinary Clinic for treatment with this being followed up in the coming days. A 90 day incapacitation has been issued and the Greyhound must trial prior to racing again. GEORGIA'S GIRL (6) - referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have pain on both long head triceps with a 10 day incapacitation issued. SCOOBY BLUE (8) - referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury.
