Waikato GRC - 12th January 2023

1). Trainer K Walsh has reported that THRILLING ROUGE has pulled up from its engagement with slight muscle soreness which could have been attributed to the interference sustained through the initial stages. Miss Walsh further reported the greyhound would have a short spell before reassessing its racing programme.

2) CLAWS IN ROCKY (R McPhee)

Race 1	Follow Waikato Greyhounds on Facebook Sprint - C0 - 375	MIAMI TAN (2) - referred to the Veterinarian after being dragged down on the bend and reported to have triceps soreness with a 14 day incapacitation issued. OMATICAYA (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after faltering when contacting inside runner into the bend and reported to have triceps soreness with a 14 day incapacitation issued. RED CONQUEST (7) - referred to the Veterinarian after being badly checked into the bend then dragged down falling soon after and reported to have a dislocated hock with a 90 day incapacitation issued. The Greyhound was transported immediately to GRNZ's contracted Veterinary Clinic for an x-ray and treatment with this being followed up in the coming days. The Greyhound must complete a Satisfactory Trial prior to resuming.

Race 6	The Clubhouse Cambridge Sprint - C1/2 - 375	CLAWS IN ROCKY (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after dropping to a clear last when faltering on the bend following checks in the back straight and reported to have fractured hock with a 90 day incapacitation issued. The Greyhound was transported immediately to GRNZ's contracted Veterinary Clinic for an x-ray and treatment with this being followed up in the coming days. The Greyhound must complete a Satisfactory Trial prior to resuming.
