General:

1). Selected greyhounds competing in solo training trials were required to provide samples for the purpose of Out Of Competition testing.

Injury trial:

1). SMASH MISFIT (R & L Udy) - Must trial prior to resuming.

2). UNO ME NOW ( A Christiansen) - Must trial prior to resuming.

Race 2	Greyhounds Make Great Pets PBD Sprint - C2 - 318	BUDDY (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after contacting the running rail rounding the bend where it was reported to have right long head triceps pain with a 10 day incapacitation issued.

Race 6	Mayhounds Greyhound Rehoming Group PBD Sprint - C2 - 318	SMASH MISFIT (3) - tightened onto the running rail first turn. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a laceration on the left proximal foreleg with a venus hemorrhage. The Greyhound was transported immediately to GRNZ's contracted Veterinary Clinic for treatment with this being followed up in the coming days. A 60 day incapacitation has been issued and the Greyhound must trial prior to racing again.

Race 8	MPS Fencing Stakes - C1 - 527	BUTTERFLY CHILD (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after getting checked first turn and again leaving the back straight losing ground and cleared of injury.
Race 9	Hewlett Electrical PBD Sprint - C5 - 318	UNO ME NOW (3) - found to have a toe injury following this event. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a dislocated right hind toe with a metatarsal injury. The Greyhound was transported immediately to GRNZ's contracted Veterinary Clinic for treatment with this being followed up in the coming days. A 42 day incapacitation has been issued and the Greyhound must trial prior to racing again.
Race 10	Waikato Classic Premier Meeting 12 Jan PBD Sprint - C4 - 318	BEES AND BIRDS (8) - referred to the Veterinarian after trailing the field throughout and cleared of injury.
Race 11	Mt Wellington TAB Stakes - C2/3 - 527	OPAWA ELEGANT (2) - referred to the Veterinarian after getting tightened onto the running rail first turn where it was reported to have bruising and a laceration left lateral antebrachium requiring sutures with a 10 day incapacitation issued. PERSIAN CHIEF (3) - referred to the Veterinarian after getting tightened and hampered first turn and checked back straight losing ground where it was reported to have back pain with a 7 day incapacitation issued. SWEET AMBER JOY (5) - referred to the Veterinarian following this event where it was reported to have a lacerated tail with a 10 day incapacitation issued.
