Palmerston North GRC - 14 October 2022

1) L Cole kennel representative Ms. E Cole applied to Stewards pursuant with Rule 56.5 to have MANILA RAW re-examined, with the re-examination showing the Greyhound to be clear of injury and the 90 day stand down imposed on 14 October 2022 being rescinded.

General:

1) Stewards have reconsidered their approval for the application lodged on the 19th October 2022 for the greyhound MANILA RAW to be re-examined pursuant with Rule 56.5. After considering the application and taking into account that the Greyhound had not been subjected to the required x-rays in which it was ordered to have undertaken at the time in which this application was made Stewards have revoked the application, deeming the examination undertaken on the 19th October 2022 as void with the trainer now free to reapply.
2) MANILA RAW (L Cole) was subjected to a swab following his veterinary re-examination.
3) APLHA RAMBO (J McInerney) was subjected to a swab following his qualifying trial.

Late Scratchings:

1) ALLEGRO TORI (L Cole) - race 6.

Warnings:

1) Handler W Morris was issued with a warning for the manner in which he boxed his runner in Race 1.

Race 2	TAB NZ - No Deductions, No Surprises Till the End Of Summer C0 - C0 - 375	There was a delay to the payment of dividends until such time as Stewards had reviewed footage of the start to determine if any Greyhound had been adversely affected due to two Greyhounds proving difficult to load. After viewing the start Stewards were satisfied that no Greyhound was adversely affected and authorised the payment of dividends. PHANTOM PIXIE (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after receiving a check entering the home straight and cleared of injury. JAY JAY GO (7) - proved difficult to load with trainer M Flipp being advised that JAY JAY GO would be placed on the box first list for future racing. SWEET SILVER (8) - proved difficult to load with trainer M Flipp being advised that SWEET SILVER would be placed on the box first list for future racing.
Race 3	Big Barrel Palmerston North PBD C1 - C1 - 375	VIXEN JENNY (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after possibly being squeezed entering the bend and cleared of injury. Video footage was inclusive as to whether squeezing had occurred.
Race 4	Rubbish & Junk Removal PN PBD C1 - C1 - 375	BARRY BOWLER (4) - fell after beginning very awkwardly and stumbling. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stood down for the mandatory 5 days as per GRNZ Rule 56A(1)

Race 6	World's Fastest Couch Potatoes C2 - C2 - 375	ALLEGRO TORI was a late scratching prior to arriving at the track with reported symptoms of diarrhea.
Race 7	TAB Racing Mega Multi Buster C3 - C3 - 375
Race 8	Federal Morgan At Stud C1 - C1 - 457	BIG TIME MAURICE (2) - referred to the Veterinarian after beginning very awkwardly, then receiving a check nearing the home straight and cleared of injury.
Race 9	Outback Trading Company C2/C3 - C2/3 - 457	OSCAR'S REALITY (8) - referred to the Veterinarian after being tightened between runners entering the bend and losing ground and cleared of injury.
Race 10	Happy New Year To All From PNGRC PBD C1 - C1 - 410	BIG TIME LOTUS (4) - referred to the Veterinarian after being contacted from behind and dragged down and cleared of injury. OPAWA DAISY (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after an incident at the lure with her muzzle and cleared of injury.
