Palmerston North GRC - 19th October 2022

Stewards concluded their investigation surrounding the circumstances trainer Lisa Cole failed to present MANILA RAW to a Veterinarian, which included the requirement of x-rays, within three days of the race meeting held on the 14th October 2022 when directed to do so by the On Track Veterinarian. After taking into account all relevant evidence Mrs Cole was issued with a charge under GRNZ Rule 62.1(p) in that she failed to comply with a lawful order of Stewards or other Person having Official duties in relation to Greyhound racing.
At a defended hearing held at the Manawatu Raceway on the 20th December 2022 the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proven and imposed a fine of $400.00

General:

1). Selected greyhounds competing in solo training trials were required to provide samples for the purpose of Out Of Competition testing.

Race 9	Outback Trading Company C3 - C3 - 375	CLAWS IN CREED (3) - proved difficult to load. Stewards placed CLAWS IN CREED on the box first list for future racing. ALLEGRO WRIGGLES (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after receiving contact from behind entering the bend and cleared of injury. OPAWA RHINO (7) - came up with the lids and was consequently slow out of the boxes.
