General Information:

From the 1st December 2022, Racing Integrity Board Greyhound Stewards have changed to an “Outcome based Stewards Report” that will not contain the “story” of the race. For further information regarding these changes see below link.

Late scratching:

1). ZIPPING LOCKETT (G Farrell) - Veterinary advice at kenneling.

Warnings:

1). T Green - failing to report report to the Stipendiary Stewards as soon as practicable anything which might have had any bearing in the past running of GOLDEN FERN.

Injury trials

1). LUCY MIRKO (T & L Craik) - required prior to resuming.

2). CHASE ME DOWN (P Ferguson) - required prior to resuming.

Investigation opened:

1). An investigation was opened into the conduct of A Christiansen.

Race 1	Follow Auckland GRC on Facebook PBD Sprint - C1 - 375	SMASH SHADOW (7) - referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have right tensor fascia pain with a 28 day incapacitation issued.
Race 2	The Clubhouse Cambridge Sprint - C4/5 - 375	GOLDEN FERN (1) - when questioned regarding the improved performance kennel rep D Elder advised that after a toe injury on the left hind a toe band was added to its gear and this had not been applied for the previous start. T Green was cautioned under rule 56.11 for failing to report this information.
Race 3	Pump & Engineering Services Ltd Stakes - C1 - 457	CAPPIELLO (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after being hampered back straight becoming unbalanced losing ground where it was reported to have right fore shin soreness with a 10 day incapacitation issued. CANTON (8) - referred to the Veterinarian after losing contact with the field and cleared of injury with the performance noted. Connections advised CANTON would no longer be persevered with as a racing proposition from this kennel.
Race 4	Dog Speed on SENZ PBD Sprint - C1 - 375	SPRING FORWARD (1) - referred to the Veterinarian after getting checked first turn and cleared of injury. BUCKLAND KING (3) - referred to the Veterinarian after solid contact first turn losing ground where it was reported to have right long head triceps and a left fibula injury with a 21 day incapacitation issued. Represented to the veterinarian under rule 56.5 at Waikato GRC on December 8 and cleared of injury.
Race 5	MPS Fencing Stakes - C1/2 - 457	ZIPPING LOCKETT was a late scratching on veterinary advice at kenneling for a left fore sesamoid injury.
Race 6	Garrards Horse & Hound Sprint - C2 - 375	LIVE STREAMING (6) - fell first turn. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stood down for the mandatory 5 days as per GRNZ Rule 56A(1).
Race 7	Mayhounds Greyhound Rehoming Group Sprint - C2/3 - 375	LUCY MIRKO (7) - referred to the Veterinarian after appearing uncomfortable concluding stages where it was reported to have a left gracilis injury with a 60 day incapacitation issued. Required to trial prior to resuming.
Race 8	SENZ 1476am Stakes - C3 - 457	CHASE ME DOWN (5) - referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have an open fracture/dislocation of a left hind toe with a 42 day incapacitation issued. Required to trial prior to resuming.
Race 9	Hewlett Electrical Sprint - C5 - 375
Race 10	Mt Wellington TAB Stakes - C4/5 - 457	HILLBILLY HEIST (6) - referred to the Veterinarian after colliding becoming unbalanced on two occasions rounding the bend and cleared of injury.
