Palmerston North GRC - 14 October 2022

1) Stewards have concluded their investigation in to the reason MANILA RAW was not presented for x-rays within the prescribed timeframe ordered by the OTV at the Palmerston North GRC's meeting on the 14th October 2022 and have issued trainer Mrs. L Cole a charge under GRNZ Rule 62.1(p) in that she failed to comply with an order of a Steward or person having Official duties in relation to greyhound racing. Kennel representative Mr. B Cole on behalf of Mrs. Cole denied the breach with a hearing date to be set sine die.

Presented to the OTV and found to have right gracillis pain with a 14 day stand down recommended. ROWDY ALL DAY (2) - buffeted inwards shortly after the start. Tightened entering the bend, losing ground. Appeared awkward in her action thereafter. Referred to the OTV and cleared of injury. Trainer A Christiansen will monitor ROWDY ALL DAY over the coming days and notify Stewards if any anomaly comes to light. PHANTOM PIXIE (3) - moved up the track through the back straight to race wide for the majority of the event. THRILLING ELSIE (4) - squeezed BIG TIME GIFT at the start. BIG TIME GIFT (5) - squeezed between runners at the start, becoming unbalanced and buffeting ROWDY ALL DAY inwards shortly after. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend, contacting GIANT LURCH from behind. Coursed wide entering the home straight, inconveniencing MISS MAUDIE. ALPHA SHELDON (7) - squeezed BIG TIME GIFT at the start. MISS MAUDIE (9/6) - slow away. Awkwardly placed on heels shortly after the start, losing momentum as a result. Inconvenienced entering the home straight.
Race 2	Greyhound As Pets PBD C1 - C1 - 375	LOSING DAYS (1) - contacted BIG TIME MASKED on the point of the bend. CHECK ME OUT (2) - squeezed OPAWA TRUMP shortly after the start, then squeezed BIG TIME FAYE nearing the bend. OPAWA TRUMP (3) - squeezed between runners shortly after the start, losing momentum. BIG TIME FAYE (4) - bumped shortly after the start. Squeezed between runners nearing the bend. Buffeted entering the bend, losing ground as a result. BIG TIME MASKED (5) - dictated inwards, bumping BIG TIME FAYE shortly after the start. Buffeted BIG TIME FAYE entering the bend. Contacted on the point of the bend. LAYLA (6) - dictated BIG TIME MASKED inwards shortly after the start. LOVE RACE (7) - raced wide for the majority of the event. CLAWS IN GAGA (8) - slow away. Coursed wide entering the home straight.
Race 3	Red Snapper Seafoods, Christchurch C2 - C2 - 457	THRILLING SNIPER (4) - moved up the track nearing the bend, contacting CLAWS IN RAMBO. Squeezed BIG TIME MAURICE entering the bend. Switched across the heels of BIG TIME BASHFUL on the point of the bend, to race wide for the remainder. CLAWS IN RAMBO (5) - contacted nearing the bend losing some ground. BIG TIME MAURICE (6) - squeezed between runners entering the bend, becoming unbalanced and checking HINT OF MINT. BIG TIME BASHFUL (7) - squeezed BIG TIME MAURICE entering the bend. HINT OF MINT (8) - checked and stumbled entering the bend, losing ground and out of contention thereafter. Referred to the OTV and found to have right triceps pain and spike wound left hock with a 14 day stand down recommended.
Race 4	Great Mates Rehoming Programme C5 - C5 - 375	PORTELLI PUNK (1) - moved up the track nearing the home straight to gain clear racing room. BIG TIME KATY (2) - placed in restricted room entering the bend, losing ground as a result. THRILLING MAPLE (3) - placed in restricted room entering the bend, losing ground as a result. BIG TIME NALA (4) - buffeted on several occasions shortly after the start. Moved inwards entering the bend placing inside runners in restricted room. BIG TIME RUA (5) - slow away. Raced wide through the bend. Attempted to move inwards nearing the home straight, heavily contacting BEES AND BIRDS, stumbling and losing ground as a result. Referred to the OTV and found to have a minor spike wound with no stand down required. LAR GRAND WYLDE (6) - buffeted BIG TIME NALA on several occasions shortly after the start. BEES AND BIRDS (8) - heavily contacted nearing the home straight. Coursed wide entering the home straight.
Race 5	Dog Speed on SENZ 12pm Sunday C3/C4 - C3/4 - 375	BIG TIME MOONY (1) - squeezed GOTCHA COOPER entering the bend. BIG TIME RITA (2) - tightened entering the bend losing ground. GOTCHA COOPER (3) - bumped shortly after the start. Squeezed between runners entering the bend. Moved up the track entering the home straight bumping BIG TIME LOST. CLAWS IN COBRA (4) - bumped at the start. Buffeted with BIG TIME MUHAMAD for a distance nearing the bend. Raced wide through the latter stages of the bend and home straight. BIG TIME MUHAMAD (5) - began awkwardly bumping CLAWS IN COBRA. Buffeted with CLAWS IN COBRA for a distance nearing the bend and contacted BIG TIME LOST from behind. Awkwardly placed entering the bend, contacting BIG TIME VIOLET from behind, becoming unbalanced and losing ground. Out of contention thereafter. BIG TIME LOST (6) - contacted from behind entering the bend. Bumped entering the home straight. Appeared lame at the lure, referred to the OTV and to have some soreness in right hind leg with a 14 day stand down recommended. BIG TIME VIOLET (7) - slow away. Contacted from behind entering the bend. BIG TIME CHARM (8) - bumped GOTCHA COOPER shortly after the start. Squeezed GOTCHA COOPER entering the bend, becoming unbalanced and losing ground as a result.
Race 6	Big Barrel Palmerston North C3 - C3 - 457	BIG TIME HUGO (1) - slow away. Inconvenienced entering the bend. Coursed wide entering the home straight. HIGHVIEW HOWARD (2) - slow away. Tightened entering the bend, needing to switch across heels to gain clear racing room, losing ground as a result. XANTHONE (3) - tightened entering the bend, losing ground and inconveniencing BIG TIME HUGO as a result. Out of contention thereafter. Raced wide through the home straight. Referred to the OTV and found to have minor spike wounds with no stand down required. GO ALBINO (4) - tightened entering the bend, in turn tightening XANTHONE. BIG TIME SUPER (5) - bumped shortly after the start. Tightened GO ALBINO entering the bend. BIG TIME KAYLEE (6) - bumped BIG TIME SUPER shortly after the start. DRUNKEN LULLABY (3) - slight contact from behind nearing, then entering the home straight. MAD WORLD (4) - began awkwardly, moving up the track and dictating BIG TIME HARMONY wider as a result. Raced wide through the home straight. BIG TIME HARMONY (5) - dictated up the track at the start, bumping ALLEGRO BANDIT. Contacted DRUNKEN LULLABY from behind nearing the home straight. Moved up the track entering the home straight to gain clear racing room, contacting DRUNKEN LULLABY from behind in the process. Raced wide through the home straight. BIG TIME HARPER (5) - when questioned into performance kennel representative Ms. M Clark advised Stewards that BIG TIME HARPER had been unsuited by the very fast pace of the race with this being her third start back from a recent season. MR FARENHEIT (8) - slow away. Raced wide at various stages.

Race 10	Total Bodyshop Supplies C2 - C2 - 375	DREAM BUSH (1) - contacted from behind shortly after the start. Raced wide through the home straight. ALLEGRO BARREL (2) - contacted DREAM BUSH from behind shortly after the start. BIG TIME ROVER (3) - bumped BIG TIME RING entering the bend, becoming unbalanced and moving up the track and checking BIG TIME GIRLY. BIG TIME RING (4) - bumped entering the bend. Moved up the track through the home straight. BIG TIME GIRLY (8) - checked entering the bend, losing ground and out of contention thereafter. Race wide through the home straight. Referred to the OTV and found to have pain in right carpus with a 14 day stand down recommended.
