Palmerston North GRC - 14 October 2022

1) L. Cole kennel representative Mr. B Cole advised Stewards on Thursday 20 October 2022 that MANILA RAW had undergone a veterinarian examination including the required X-rays which did not reveal any fractures, however it was reported that the Greyhound had pain and bruising over the right hip support, whip muscle, anterior thigh muscle.

2) GO TINA (M Flipp) - race 8.

Race 1	TAB Express Payout Now Here PBD C1 - C1 - 375	BIG TIME CHALKY (5) - referred to the veterinarian following an incident at the lure which revealed a minor spike wound on the right front foot with no stand down required. OPAWA TRUMP (6) - checked into the bend as BIG TIME PUNGA angled into the bend. BIG TIME PUNGA (7) - checked into the bend when coming together with OPAWA TRUMP becoming understand running wide onto the top bend.
Race 2	Greyhound As Pets C2 - C2 - 375	OPAWA ZIVA (2) - hampered for some strides when awkwardly placed on heels ,checking outwards onto HIGHVIEW BRUCE checking this runner and lost ground. ALLEGRO TORI (4) - hampered racing from the start as AL'S LOADED crossed his line. HIGHVIEW BRUCE (7) - dwelt at the jump. Brushed and unbalanced entering the bend. Checked and fell nearing the home turn quickly recovered to his paws to complete the race and was referred to the veterinarian where no abnormalities were found. He has been stood down for 5 days as per the ( fall in race policy.
Race 3	Outback Trading Company C3/C4 - C3/4 - 375	THRILLING BANDIT (3) - bumped soon after the start as BIG TIME MUHAMAD angled across. Hard contact on the top bend going sideways losing ground. Referred to the veterinarian and found to have a minor spike wound on right fore leg with no stand down required. BIG TIME NALA (4) - hampered soon after the start when clipped from behind. BIG TIME MUHAMAD (5) - checked soon after start as he raced across the heels of BIG TIME NALA running in bumping with THRILLING BANDIT. Crowded between runners for some strides into the bend. BIG TIME HARMONY (7) - contact when bumped and pushed outwards becoming unbalanced into the bend . Made good ground to the line. BIG TIME VIOLET (8) - dwelt when the lids lifted and was last away by several lengths. BIG TIME LOST (9/2) - crowded and clipped from behind becoming unbalanced for a stride or so when clipped from behind, then tightened onto heels contacting out BIG TIME HARMONY losing momentum racing onto the top bend.
Race 4	Red Snapper Seafoods, Christchurch C2/C3 - C2/3 - 457	Stay Connected was a late scratching before arriving to the track. BIG TIME MAURICE (4) - severely tightened for some strides in the run into the bend losing momentum and ground. HINT OF MINT (7) - angled across from the jump tightening in onto and jostling with BIG TIME MAURICE for some distance losing momentum and ground.
Race 5	TAB NZ - No Deductions, No Surprises C4/C5 - C4/5 - 375	BIG TIME LOYAL (2) - contact in the hind quarters entering the bend. BIG TIME CHARM (3) - contacted hind quarters and lost ground entering the bend, settled in the rear to the line referred to the veterinarian and cleared of injury. BIG TIME RUA (6) - angled into the home straight contacting improving runner to her outer. PORTELLI PUNK (8) - improving widest when contacted into the home straight being unbalanced momentrily.
Race 6	Greyhounds Make Great Pets C5 - C5 - 375	TYPHOON TIM (4) - bumped and jostled with BIG TIME LOVELY for a few strides entering the bend. BIG TIME LOVELY (5) - bumped and jostled with TYPHOON TIM for a few strides entering the bend.
Race 7	Big Barrel Palmerston North C4 - C4 - 457	BIG TIME KAYLEE (4) - hampered entering the bend when contacted in the hind quarters. BIG TIME REWARD (6) - dictated across then angled into the bend contacting the hind quarters of BIG TIME KAYLEE for a couple of strides. BIG TIME RIPPER (8) - angled across in the run to the bend dictaing BIG TIME REWARD inwards for a few strides.
Race 8	Nightrave Greyhounds Adoption C3 - C3 - 375	GO TINA late scratching at kenneling on veterinary advice. BIG TIME MOONY (1) - fav- racing handy to the bend when checked and lost ground as runners angled to the rail. BIG TIME FANCY (3) - dictated across into the bend being tightened in onto inner runner. GOTCHA COOPER (4) - angled across the line of BIG TIME FANCY tightening this runners inwards into the bend. KIRKBY (5) - from the jump he angled outwards tightening runners to his outer for a couple of strides. BUDDY (6) - forced to check when tightened between runners racing off the mats. OPAWA GYPSY (7) - tightened between runners racing off the mats. MAD WORLD (8) - forced to race wide into the bend.
Race 9	Federal Morgan At Stud C5 - C5 - 457	HOMETOWN HERO (2) - angled outwards in the run towards the bend then angled down towards the rail in across the line of MUSTANG CHARLIE checking this runner. MUSTANG CHARLIE (4) - racing handy into the bend when checked and lost momentum as HOMETOWN HERO angled sharply in across his line. EASY DOES IT (5) - clipped from behind nearing the home turn when crossing to the rail across the line of ALLEGRO MARS. ALLEGRO MARS (7) - checked nearing the home turn as EASY DOES IT crossed down to the rail.
Race 10	Dog Speed on SENZ 12pm Sunday C2 - C2 - 410	GO ROYCE (3) - dwelt slightly and was last into stride. Checked and lost ground to a clear last in the running entering the bend. Made good ground to the line in the latter stages. LIBERTY TAKER (4) - bumped and checked entering the bend as BIG TIME AUDI angled across. BIG TIME AUDI (8) - angled across between sharply between runners across the line of GO ROYCE and in onto LIBERTY TAKER.
