DOUBLE QUEENIE (4) - ran outwards final turn contacting BRENDON BAXTER. HOMEBUSH ALTENA (5) - lost ground into bend finishing a clear last. Assessed by vet and found to have a hematoma on a hock with a 7 day stand down recommended. COUSTEAU (6) - ran outwards early stages pushing BRENDON BAXTER wider. BRENDON BAXTER (8) - slow to jump then pushed outwards by COUSTEAU dropping to rear. Contacted by DOUBLE QUEENIE final turn.
Race 2	mayhounds.org.nz Rehoming Group Dash - C3 - 295	YOUNG MASE (2) - tightened into bend losing momentum. HOMEBUSH BENTLEY (3) - tightened into bend becoming unbalanced and losing ground. Had heels clipped by FEELING FANCY final turn. FEELING FANCY (4) - pushed down track early stages losing ground. Ran inwards into bend making solid contact with the rail and dropping to the rear. Checked off heels of HOMEBUSH BENTLEY on bend. Assessed by vet and found to have minor spike wounds with a 3 day stand down recommended. GOLDSTAR WHITSY (5) - tightened final turn losing ground. LONELY GEMMA (6) - tightened by HARRY BAXTER early stages losing ground. Raced wide around bend. HARRY BAXTER (7) - ran inwards early stages tightening inside runners. DIAMOND GEORGIO (8) - slow to jump. Contacted inside runners final turn becoming unbalanced and losing momentum.
Race 3	Bolty @ Stud Sprint - C3 - 295	MINE HUNTER (2) - raced wide final turn. KNOW BEAST (3) - ran outwards into bend checking outside runners and losing chance. Assessed by vet and found to have bruising to a flexor tendon with a 7 day stand down recommended. (Subsequently rescinded on 17 October) CLARK'S A LARK (6) - ran outwards back straight contacting LONELY GUY then terminally checked and lost chance as KNOW BEAST ran outwards. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. LONELY GUY (7) - tightened by HOMEBUSH HARPER back straight then contacted by CLARK'S A LARK. HOMEBUSH HARPER (8) - ran inwards back straight tightening LONELY GUY then checked by inside runners and dragged down into bend losing chance. Assessed by vet and found to have bruising to an achilles muscle with a 7 day stand down recommended.

Race 6	Rose & Thistle Sprint Final - C4f - 295	GOLDSTAR ANGE (1) - last to jump. DAVE'S DEAL (4) - pushed inwards by GOLDSTAR CLOVER through the back straight dropping to the rear. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. GOLDSTAR CLOVER (5) - ran inwards through the back straight pushing DAVE'S DEAL down the track. OPAWA PIP (6) - tightened into bend and forced outwards losing momentum. Raced wide concluding stages.
Race 7	Suck It Up Ltd Stakes - C3 - 520	There was a small delay to this race due to the sprinklers activating unexpectedly with the track requiring maintenance in consequence. QUETZAL BALE (7) - ran outwards first turn pushing KNOW GRIZZLES wider. KNOW GRIZZLES (8) - pushed outwards by QUETZAL BALE first turn.
Race 8	Active Electrical Christchurch Dash - C5 - 295	AMURI ANDY (1) - contacted by LEVI BALE home straight. SMASH READY (2) - clear last on jumping. TAIERI FINN (4) - tightened by NOT SO SIMPLE into bend losing ground. NOT SO SIMPLE (5) - ran inwards into bend tightening TAIERI FINN. CULVIE BUN (6) - tightened into bend losing ground. LEVI BALE (7) - ran inwards contacting AMURI ANDY home straight losing momentum.
