Dragged down prior to exiting the bend losing further ground. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have pain to its left Pectineus with a 7 day incapacitation issued. HOMEBUSH ARI (4) - raced on the heels of MAYFIELD TED prior to exiting the bend.
Race 2	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C0 - 457	JOKES ON US (2) - boxed first. Slow early. ADOBE DON (4) - made the bend awkwardly shifting up the track.
Race 3	FIND US ON TWITTER@SGRCINFO - C3 - 390	TIDAL TAPESTRY (2) - shifted off heels rounding the bend. SHANE BAXTER (4) - turned inwards entering the bend when racing to the inside of AMURI LUCK. ADOBE KID (5) - placed in restricted room entering the bend. AMURI LUCK (7) - awkwardly placed to the outside of SHANE BAXTER entering the bend. SOZIN'S QUEEN (8) - hampered entering the bend.
Race 4	THINKING OF YOU HAMILTON FAMILY - C2 - 390	IMPRESSIVE MARIO (2) - crowded entering the bend losing momentum. MATERIAL MEG (3) - jostled with KIPJO approaching the bend losing ground. KIPJO (6) - checked inwards off heels early stages. Jostled with MATERIAL MEG approaching the bend.
Race 5	ORETI BEACH RUN - SPECA - 457	LET'S GO YOYO (2) - boxed first. HOMEBUSH LENNON (4) - awkwardly placed between runners entering the bend losing ground. ADOBE DRAKE (5) - shifted off heels in the run to the bend causing an inconvenience to HOMEBUSH NOAH and HOMEBUSH LEROY. Jostled with HOMEBUSH LEROY prior to entering the bend before being obligated to check off heels. Collided with HOMEBUSH LEROY entering the bend. HOMEBUSH NOAH (6) - inconvenienced in the run to the run to the bend by ADOBE DRAKE. Obligated to checkoff heels entering the bend. HOMEBUSH LEROY (8) - inconvenienced in the run to the run to the bend by ADOBE DRAKE. Jostled with ADOBE DRAKE prior to entering the bend before colliding with this runner entering the bend.
Race 6	HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM EADE - C4 - 390	SOUTHERN PHOENIX (6) - collided with AMURI EARLY early stages. Raced on the hindquarters of HOMEBUSH JETHRO entering the bend. HOMEBUSH JETHRO (7) - slow early. Hindquarters contacted entering the first bend. AMURI ROCK (8) - boxed first. Slow early before colliding with SOUTHERN PHOENIX.
Race 7	REMEMBERING DARRYL GARTHWAITE - C5 - 390	ADOBE DERULO (1) - forced down the track in the run to the bend. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend. ARAMOANA (2) - shifted inwards in the run to the bend forcing ADOBE DELURO down the track. Crowded and lost momentum entering the bend. BUSTER'S BROTHER (3) - began awkwardly. HOMEBUSH HONEY (7) - checked and lost ground entering the bend.
Race 8	OTAGO GREYHOUND RACING CLUB DASH - C3 - 390	MITCHAM KING (7) - slow early.
Race 9	ADDED ENERGY STAKES - C1/2 - 457	WHIMSICAL BOY (3) - shouldered with TERRY'S TERROR in the run to the bend. SMOKE SCREEN (4) - slow early. TERRY'S TERROR (6) - shouldered with WHIMSICAL BOY in the run to the bend. Checked inwards off heels approaching the bend.
Race 10	DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER PBD Sprint - C1 - 390	HOMEBUSH RIO (1) - lost ground with the field in the run to the bend and continued to thereafter. Performance noted. Subsequently had x-rays taken which found the greyhound to have sustained a crack in its hock. Stood down from its next engagement at Addington with 28 days. HOMEBUSH BRANDY (2) - turned its head outwards shortly after the start so as to make muzzle contact with MAYFIELD MANU. Continued to race with its head turned outwards for a distance thereafter. Crowded entering the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stood down for 3 months and pending a satisfactory trial for marring. MAYFIELD MANU (4) - contacted from the inside by HOMEBUSH BRANDY shortly after the start. Placed in restricted room in the run to the bend losing its balance. Again placed in restricted room entering the bend losing ground. IMPRESSIVE CHARM (6) - lost ground with the field in the run to the bend taking no competitive part in the race. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stood down pending a satisfactory trial. In taking this course of action Stewards were mindful the greyhound had its performance noted it its most recent start.
Race 11	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz PBD Sprint - C1 - 390	HOMEBUSH CRYSTAL (4) - shouldered with IMPRESSIVE AMY entering the bend. HOMEBUSH SOLO (5) - slow early. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend losing momentum. EPIC GRACE (6) - proved difficult to box. Slow early. Referred to the Veterinarian by connections with a torn dew claw with a 10 day incapacitation issued and requiring a follow up with the connections private Veterinarian within 3 days to which Stewards will follow up. IMPRESSIVE AMY (7) - shouldered with HOMEBUSH CRYSTAL entering the bend.
Race 12	RACING AGAIN 23RD AUGUST PBD Sprint - C1 - 390	HOMEBUSH LEAH (1) - turned outwards rounding the bend when SOUTHERN HOPE improved into a marginal run to its inside. SOUTHERN HOPE (3) - slow early. Raced in tight quarters rounding the bend when attempting to improve into a marginal run. JUST STAGGER (5) - made the bend awkwardly losing ground.
