1). MELVILLE BALE (A Roberts) - was ordered to be scratched from the GRNZ NZ NATIONALS MIDDLE DISTANCE INVITATIONAL after it was established the greyhound failed to meet the conditions of the race and therefore was ineligible to start.

OPAWA BARREL (6) - coursed wide throughout the back straight. NIGHTHAWK JET (7) - slow early stages. OPAWA WARRIOR (9/3) - began awkwardly.
Race 2	Suck It Up Ltd Feature - C3 - 295	ANGRY JANE(1) - was a late scratching after being found to be In Season upon retrieval from its race day kennel. LIGHTFOOT LUNA (2) - severely dragged down rounding the bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian were it was reported to have a sprained wrist with a 14 day incapacitation issued. GOLDSTAR CHEWY (4) - shifted outwards across heels in the run to the bend. Hampered rounding the bend. BE SWIFT (5) - shouldered with TAMMY THE TOMBOY early stages. Shouldered with MEHIRA through the initial stages of the run home. LAREDO JEWEL (6) - came up with the lid and was awkward leaving the boxes. Climbed on the heels of LIGHTFOOT LUNA rounding the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. TAMMY THE TOMBOY (7) - shouldered with BE SWIFT early stages. MEHIRA (8) - shouldered with BE SWIFT through the initial stages of the run home.
Race 3	Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint Final - C4f - 295	SUGAR TIME (3) - boxed first. Hindquarters raced on early stages. ALHAMBRA (4) - forced down the track early stages. YOUNG ROMEO (5) - forced down the track early stages. GOLDSTAR LINDA (6) - checked early stages losing ground. Shifted off heels rounding the bend. MONEY BAGS (7) - shifted down the track abruptly in the early stages checking GOLDSTAR LINDA and forcing YOUG ROMEO AND ALHAMBRA down the track before contacting the hindquarters of SUGAR TIME. Awkwardly positioned to the outside of OPAWA PIP entering the bend losing ground.
Race 4	My Redeemer Distance Feature - C0d - 645	FRANK (2) - slow early. KNOW PRICE (3) - slow early. OPAWA STAR (4) - raced in restricted room first turn. BEST BALL (5) - raced on the heels of OPAWA CHRISSY first turn. QUETZAL BALE (6) - hampered and forced wide first turn. CALL THE TUNE (7) - slow early. Clipped the heels of OPAWA CHRISSY prior to entering the home straight on the first occasion losing ground. OPAWA CHRISSY (8) - dragged down first turn losing ground. Checked from behind prior to entering the home straight on the first occasion. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have bruising to the hock area with a 3 day incapacitation issued.
Race 5	Thursday Place Pick Feature - C2 - 520	WILLENE BALE (2) - heels clipped approaching the first bend losing ground. EPIC QUEEN (3) - checked off heels entering the first bend. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was found to have grazing to a hock with a 3 day incapacitation issued. TEXAS JEWEL (4) - slow early. Shifted off heels entering the first bend. GOLDSTAR YANKEE (6) - awkwardly positioned on heels approaching the first bend. Jostled with GOLDSTAR BROOKS exiting the final bend. ADOBE DAZZLER (7) - awkward out of the boxes. GOLDSTAR BROOKS (8) - jostled with GOLDSTAR YANKEE exiting the final bend.
Race 6	Real Pet Foods Rolleston Feature - C3 - 520	KAW LIGA (1) - awkward for a stride racing off the mat. Crowded first bend. Again crowded exiting the final bend jostling with ADOBE KID losing momentum as a consequence. ADOBE KID (2) - crowded and jostled with KAW LIGA exiting the final bend losing momentum. HUMBLING (3) - hindquarters raced on early stages. DEEP VALUE (4) - awkward out of the boxes shifting inwards contacting the hindquarters of HUMBLING. MANILA RAW (6) - shifted up the track entering the first bend forcing OPAWA RYDER wide. OPAWA RYDER (7) - forced wide entering the first bend by MANILA RAW before having to check inwards off this runners heels. Shouldered with GOLDSTAR BUTTERS entering the final straight. GOLDSTAR BUTTERS (8) - shouldered with OPAWA RYDER entering the final straight.
Race 7	Selwyn-Rakaia Vet Services Feature - C4 - 520	DALISHA BALE (1) - heels clipped entering the first bend shifting up the track as a consequence. OBERON BALE (2) - checked off heels entering the first bend. GOLDSTAR GIGI (4) - shifted off heels exiting the final bend. MANDY JEWEL (7) - checked off heels entering the final striaght. LEVI BALE (8) - weakened late in the run home. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to be showing signs of cramp with a 5 day incapacitation issued.
Race 8	Garrard's Horse & Hound 2022 Canterbury OTB Maiden - C0f - 520	DIAMOND LEAHA (1) - obligated to check off heels in the run to the first bend losing momentum. OPAWA LINDA (4) - faltered entering the first bend becoming awkward in its gallop. Lost ground thereafter being referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have ruptured a ligament in a toe with a 21 day incapacitation issued. KNOW EFFORT (5) - awkward out of the boxes before having to check outwards off heels losing ground.
Race 9	2022 GRNZ NZ Nationals Middle Distance - INV - 520	EPIC CRUZE (1) - clipped the heels of OPAWA WAYNE entering the first bend shifting outwards and colliding with SPEEDY SUE. MUSTANG CHARLIE (5) - awkwardly placed on heels entering the first bend. OPAWA WAYNE (6) - awkward out of the boxes. Heels clipped entering the first bend before faltering shortly afterwards becoming awkward in its gallop. Lost ground with the field falling to finish. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a fractured hock with a 90 day incapacitation issued. Must complete a Satisfactory Trial prior to resuming. SPEEDY SUE (9/7) - slow early. Collided with EPIC CRUZ entering the first bend.
Race 10	Clarkson's Sign Studio Feature - C5 - 520	Stewards inspected the area of track entering the first bend(520m) after greyhounds had sustained injuries at this part of the track in the previous two races, upon inspection of the track it was deemed to be consistent with the the rest of the track and in a satisfactory condition to continue racing. QUINTESSA BALE (2) - awkward off the mat having its hindquarters contacted by NAYA BALE. NAYA BALE (3) - contacted the hindquarters of QUINTESSA BALE early stages. MONEY SPINNER (4) - bumped with GOLDSTAR CARLITO entering the first bend. BLINKEN LILY (6) - awkwardly placed on heels rounding the final bend. GOLDSTAR CARLITO (7) - shouldered with CARLOS JEWEL in the run to the first bend. Bumped with MONEY SPINNER entering the first bend. CARLOS JEWEL (8) - shouldered with GOLDSTAR CARLITO in the run to the first bend. Coursed wide first bend.
Race 11	2022 GRNZ NZ Nationals Distance - INVd - 732	MR FARENHEIT (2) - coursed wide first bend. Shouldered briefly with KNOW ACCOUNT racing through the home straight on the first occasion. Shifted up the track entering the kennel bend easing free of interference for several strides. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stood down for 28 days and pending a satisfactory trial for Failing to Pursue the Lure. Owner Mr W Morris requested a form to lodged a review of this decision with the Executive Officer of the Racing Integrity Board. NIGHTHAWK STYLE (3) - crowded entering the first turn CENTURION (4) - crowded early stages bumping with HIGHTHAWKE STYLE. BIG TIME JOY (5) - crowded early stages. KNOW KEEPER (6) - shifted down the track early stages crowding inside runners. KNOW ACCOUNT (8) - shouldered briefly with MR FARENHEIT racing through the home straight on the first occasion.
Race 12	Rose & Thistle Cannonball Sprint Feature - C5f - 295	HILTON HEADACHE (1) - jostled with OPAWA BARNS early stages. Crowded entering the bend losing ground before becoming awkwardly placed to the inside of ANNA JEM losing further ground thereafter. Referred to the Veterinarian and found to have triceps muscle pain with a 42 day incapacitation issued. Must complete Satisfactory Trial prior to resuming. Connections advised they would give consideration to retiring the bitch. ANNA JEM (2) - slow early. Awkwardly positioned to the outside of HILTON HEADACHE rounding the bend before bumping with IT'S BETTER. OPAWA BARNS (3) - jostled with HILTO HEADACHE early stages. SADIKI BALE (5) - raced hard on the shoulder of TAIERI MISSLE entering the bend. IT'S BETTER (7) - shifted off heels entering the bend before bumping with ANNA JEM. TAIERI MISSILE (8) - raced hard on the shoulder of SADIKI BALE entering the bend.
