Christchurch GRC - 14 July 2022

1). Trainer M Roberts has advised that GO JOHNNY GO appeared to have recovered well this morning from a disappointing performance at last night's meeting however he intended to give the greyhound a complete examination later this evening to ascertain that he was happy for the greyhound to continue with its immediate racing programme which consisted of racing at the Southland GRC's meeting on Sunday 17th July.

HOMEBUSH FANTA (4) - contacted the hindquarters of NALAYA BALE in the early stages. NALAYA BALE (5) - hindquarters contacted in the early stages. Hampered entering the bend. TURF BURNER (6) - awkward out of the boxes before having to check inwards off heels. KNOCKA KNOW HOW (8) - boxed first. Hampered entering the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian by connections and found to have it right hind lateral nail torn off with a 21 day incapacitation issued.
Race 2	mayhounds.org.nz Rehoming Group Sprint - C2 - 295	SOUFFLE SUE (1) - become awkward in its gallop approaching the bend losing ground rapidly with the field. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have torn its left gracilis with a 42 day incapacitation issued. Must trial prior to resuming. Connections advised the greyhound would be retired from racing. KNOW MAJORITY (2) - slow early. Crowded and climbed on the heels of AMURI EARLY entering the bend losing momentum. AMURI EARLY (6) - shouldered with SMASH GRENADE in the initial stages. Obligated to check inwards off heels approaching the bend after forcing SMASH GREADE to race in restricted room. Checked from behind entering the bend after crowding KNOW MAJORITY. SMASH GRENADE (7) - shouldered with AMURI EARLY briefly in the initial stages. Placed in restricted room approaching the bend losing ground.
Race 3	Happy Birthday Craig Roberts Dash - C2 - 295	LAREDO JEWEL (3) - crowded the running line of OPA'S JOY prior to exiting the bend. URI BALE (4) - slow early. HOMEBUSH POPPY (5) - crowded and lost ground entering the bend. KILDY'S WHISKEY (7) - slow early. OPA'S JOY (9/1) - obligated to check outwards off heels after being crowded prior to exiting the bend.
Race 4	Real Pet Foods Rolleston Stakes - C0 - 520	OPAWA CODY (1) - jostled with NIGHTHAWK ANGEL in the run to the first bend. Coursed wide first bend and throughout the back and front straights. GOLDSTAR NOODLE (4) - turned in the boxes taking no competitive part. Stood down pending satisfactory box trial. GOLDSTAR WALKER (5) - checked off heels entering the first bend coursing wide as a consequence. NIGHTHAWK ANGEL (6) - jostled with OPAWA CODY in the run to the first bend.
Race 5	American Warrior @ Stud Sprint - C2 - 295	YOUNG MASE (2) - lost ground when crowded for racing room entering the bend causing an inconvenience to HOMEBUSH MILLIE, GOLDSTAR JUBILEE, JAYCEE BALE and FEELING FANCY. GOLDSTAR JUBILEE (5) - inconvenienced entering the bend. HOMEBUSH MILLIE (6) - inconvenienced entering the bend. FEELING FANCY (7) - hindquarters raced on early stages. Inconvenienced entering the bend. JAYCEE BALE (8) - raced on the hindquarters of FEELING FANCY early stages. Inconvenienced entering the bend.
Race 6	Addington Events Centre Sprint - C3 - 295	ONESIE (1) - hindquarters raced on in the run to the bend. HOMEBUSH CARDI (2) - slow early. GOLDSTAR WHITSY (3) - jostled briefly with SINHA MAN early stages. Raced on the hindquarters of ONSIE in the run to the bend. SINHA MAN (5) - jostled briefly with GOLDSTAR WHITEY early stages before contacting the hindquarters of DR. BRAVESTONE. DR. BRAVESTONE (6) - hindquarters contacted briefly when when shifting down the track early stages. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend. THUNDER HALLOWS (10/4) - slow early. Checked off heels in the run to the bend.
Race 7	Steve Anngow Drapes & Blinds Ph0272719588 Dash - C3 - 295	SPOT LU (1) - crowed and had to check entering the bend losing ground and causing an inconvenience to GOLDSTAR TOOKIE. NIGHTHAWK JINK (2) - jostled with GINGER SHAW rounding the bend. GINGER SHAW (3) - crowded the racing line of SPOT LU entering the bend. Jostled with NIGHTHAWK JINX rounding the bend. GOLDSTAR TOOKIE (4) - slow early. Inconvenienced entering the bend. GOLDSTAR BRYNLEY (6) - raced in restricted room entering the bend.
Race 8	Happy Birthday Matt Roberts Sprint - C3 - 295	GOLDSTAR CHARM(5) - late scratching at kenneling when found to be painful on flexion in a right hind toe. MITCHAM IVAN (1) - heels clipped approaching the bend. MINTER RISE (3) - shouldered with KNOW BABY early stages shifting up the track to then collide with MABLE JEWEL. Forced dwon onto the heels of MITCHAM IVAN approaching the bend. MABLE JEWEL (5) - contacted from the inside by MINTER RISE in the run to the bend. Forced MINTER RISE down the track and onto the heels of MITCHAM IVAN approaching the bend. SUCK IT UP (6) - hampered entering the bend losing momentum. GOLDSTAR YANKEE (8) - raced on heels entering the bend. KNOW BABY (9/2) - shouldered with MNTER RISE early stages. Lost ground when crowded entering the bend.
Race 9	Travel Bug Charlie On Instagram Sprint - C4 - 295	NEXT OFF (1) - forced down the track early stages. CLAWS IN COBRA (2) - crowded early stages having to check. HOMEBUSH SPARKLE (3) - shouldered briefly with BARBER CUED exiting the bend. BARBER CUBED (4) - shouldered briefly with HOMEBUSH SPARKLE exiting the bend. MITCHAM MAGIC (5) - shifted down the track abruptly in the initial stages crowding CLAWS IN COBRA and forcing NEXT OFF down the track. KNOW SMOKEY (6) - obligated to shift across heels on several occasion in the run to the bend. GOLDSTAR ANGE (8) - awkwardly placed to the outside of runners entering the bend.
Race 10	Dyna Elwyn @ Stud Dash - C4 - 295	SMASH JAGGER (3) - considerably slow early.
Race 11	Racing Again Monday 18 July Sprint - C5 - 295	AMURI ROCK (1) - boxed first. PENNY JANE (2) - hindquarters contacted in the run to the bend before being awkwardly placed on heels losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. HOMEBUSH MONKEY (3) - forced down the track in the run to the bend. TAIERI MISSILE (4) - raced in restricted room early stages shifting off heels and forcing HOMEBUSH MONKEY down the track. KNOW RATIO (5) - raced in restricted room early stages. ROMEO (6) - boxed first. Began awkwardly before shifting down the track crowding inside runners and making contact with the hindquarters of PENNY JANE. RAZOR RUFUS (7) - crowded early stages have to check off heels. OPAWA BARNS (8) - shifted down the track early stages obliging RAZOR RUFUS to check off heels.
Race 12	Rose & Thistle Sprint - C4 - 295	AMURI LUCK (1) - crowded entering the bend having to check outwards off heels checking ROSEHIP wish in turn caused GOLDSTAR HARPER to race up the track. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. ROSEHIP (3) - hindquarters bumped early stages. Checked up the track rounding the bend forcing GOLDSTAR HARPER wide. GOLDSTAR WYNTER (4) - slow early. YOSHI MOON (5) - shouldered briefly with ALHAMBRA early stages before bumping with the hindquarters of ROSEHIP. ALHAMBRA (6) - shouldered briefly with YOSHI MOON early stages. Hampered rounding the bend. GOLDSTAR HARPER (7) - crowded early stages. Forced up the track rounding the bend. HOMEBUSH LIAM (8) - shifted down the track early stages crowding inside runners.
