Judicial report: Supplementary Report - Christchurch GRC 27 February:

BOLTY (A Hart) was represented to the on-course veterinarian and after a review of the x-rays it was established that the fracture was an old injury and not caused by the incident last Thursday. Accordingly the requirement for an Injury Trial has been rescinded.

Fines:

1). J McInerney - $100 - incorrect nomination of IMPRESSIVE ISLA to race on consecutive days.

General:

1). Selected greyhounds undertaking solo training trials were subjected to having a sample of urine taken for the purpose of out of competition testing.

Stand Downs:

1). MASTER LOUIS (A Hart) - stood down pending a ophthalmologist clearance and satisfactory trial.

Checked outwards of heels of IRISH COFFEE first turn into the path of TORNADO TRUMP which fell. Lost all chance in this incident with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. OPAWA ZIVA (4) - ran wide back straight. IRISH COFFEE (5) - slow to jump then contacted by EPIC GALAXY. Had heels clipped by EPIC GALAXY first turn losing ground. OPAWA GRAEME (8) - pushed wide back straight. Checked final bend losing ground. TORNADO TRUMP (9/6) - slow to jump then pushed outwards soon after. Badly checked by EPIC GALAXY first turn and fell in consequence. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. Stood down for 5 days as a precaution.
Race 2	Happy 35th Birthday Mick Kennedy Dash - C2 - 295	KNOW POPS (2) - stumbled for a stride on jumping. Forced wide on bend. GOLDSTAR ARIA (3) - checked outwards off heels of DENERAU DELIGHT on bend contacting HOMEBUSH VASSY and MITCHAM KING in consequence. MITCHAM KING (5) - dragged DENERAU DELIGHT down into bend and ran wide being contacted by GOLDSTAR ARIA. CUPID'S DAY (6) - forced wide around bend. DENARAU DELIGHT (7) - dragged down by MITCHAM KING into bend losing momentum with GOLDSTAR ARIA then checking outwards off its heels. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. HOMEBUSH VASSY (8) - contacted by GOLDSTAR ARIA on bend.
Race 3	kiwikiwihounds.co.nz Adoption Sprint - C1 - 520	OPAWA WEB (1) - contacted by outside runners early stages. GOLDSTAR SHARON (2) - tightened early stages losing ground. KNOW KERATIC (3) - contacted by KNOW EGO early stages and tightened GOLDSTAR SHARON in consequence. Contacted by GOLDSTAR TRUMAN into first turn then ran outwards hampering outside runners. KNOW EGO (4) - ran inwards early stages contacting KNOW KERATIC. Pushed wide by KNOW KERATIC first turn. GOLDSTAR TRUMAN (6) - ran inwards approaching first turn contacting KNOW KERATIC. PARIS BANDIT (7) - last on jumping. Hampered by KNOW KERATIC first turn losing ground.
Race 4	Clarkson Sign Studio Sprint - C0 - 295	MIXED WELL (1) - very slow to jump. OHOKA BELFAST (3) - slow to jump then ran wide throughout. HOMEBUSH CRYSTAL (5) - contacted by GOLDSTAR ODETTE back straight. Ran wide final turn. GOLDSTAR ODETTE (6) - contacted HOMEBUSH CRYSTAL back straight. GOLDSTAR GRAELIN (9/8) - ran wide final turn.
Race 5	Swimming Goat At Stud Dash - C2 - 295	CLAWS IN MARVEL (1) - contacted by GOLDSTAR CLOVER early stages. Ran outwards into bend pushing SMASH SHADOW outwards. Ran wide home straight. GOLDSTAR CLOVER (2) - ran inwards early stages contacting CLAWS IN MARVEL. Checked by HOMEBUSH JEWEL final turn. KNOW NUGGET (3) - pushed inwards by MR KUMAR back straight. IYLAH JEWEL (4) - badly dragged down and fell on bend. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. Stood down for 5 days as a precaution. SMASH SHADOW (5) - pushed down track by MR KUMAR early stages. Pushed outwards by CLAWS IN MARVEL into bend. Terminally checked by faller on bend losing chance. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. MR KUMAR (6) - ran inwards early stages pushing SMASH SHADOW inwards. Pushed KNOW NUGGET inwards back straight. Dragged IYLAH JEWEL down on bend losing chance. HOMEBUSH JEWEL (7) - raced wide back straight. Ran inwards final turn checking GOLDSTAR CLOVER and ran wide in consequence. MISS MADRID (8) - checked and pushed very wide on bend losing ground. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury.
Race 6	My Redeemer Distance - C1d - 645	ADOBE FOX (3) - last on jumping then raced very wide for some distance. NIGHTHAWK JET (4) - tightened by NIGHTHAWK FANCY first turn losing momentum. NIGHTHAWK STYLE (5) - tightened first turn losing ground. NIGHTHAWK FANCY (6) - ran inwards first turn tightening NIGHTHAWK JET. ADOBE SLICE (7) - tightened by GOLDSTAR BUTTERS with a lap to run. GOLDSTAR BUTTERS (8) - slow to jump. Ran inwards with a lap to run tightening ADOBE SLICE.
Race 7	Dyna Elwyn @ Stud Sprint - C0 - 295	HOMEBUSH VILLA (1) - ran wide final turn. MAISEY (2) - contacted by OPAWA LILLY back straight. GOLDSTAR TOMMY (5) - slow to jump. Pushed wide by OPAWA LILLY into bend. OPAWA LILLY (6) - ran inwards back straight contacting MAISEY then ran outwards pushing GOLDSTAR TOMMY wider. HOMEBUSH ICE (7) - ran wide final turn. HOMEBUSH VALDEN (8) - commenced to weaken leaving back straight finishing a distant last. Assessed by vet and found to have pain on flexion to its right wrist and pain in its right quadriceps with a 14 day stand down imposed. GOLDSTAR JOJO (9/4) - tightened early stages losing ground.
Race 8	Kolorful Kanvas Stakes - C2 - 520	DARLA BALE (2) - had heels clipped by OPAWA GINA final turn losing momentum. OPAWA GINA (3) - got on heels of DARLA BALE final turn then pushed wide by HAIRPIN TRIGGER losing ground. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. Stewards questioned the connections and were advised the greyhound was up in weight from coming back from a spell and would derive benefit from today's outing with these comments being noted. HAIRPIN TRIGGER (4) - tightened by GOLDSTAR DARWIN early stages losing ground. Checked outwards off heels first turn pushing SMASH DEVIL very wide then contacted by CALL THE TUNE soon after. Ran outwards final turn pushing OPAWA GINA wider. GOLDSTAR DARWIN (5) - ran inwards early stages tightening HAIRPIN TRIGGER. SMASH DEVIL (6) - slow to jump. Pushed very wide by HAIRPIN TRIGGER first turn. Again pushed wide final turn. CALL THE TUNE (8) - slow to jump. Contacted HAIRPIN TRIGGER first turn.
Race 9	American Warrior @ Stud Dash - C2 - 295	TAIERI SNAPSHOT (2) - contacted by outside runners back straight. Ran outwards into bend contacting HOMEBUSH GEORGE then checking GOLDSTAR JUSTICE. Ran wide final turn. HOMEBUSH GEORGE (3) - contacted by TAIERI SNAPSHOT into bend and dropped to rear. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. HOMEBUSH RANGER (4) - pushed down the track by MITCHAM HAMISH early stages. BOOTSTRAP BILL (5) - slow to jump. MITCHAM HAMISH (6) - ran inwards early stages pushing HOMEBUSH RANGER down the track. KNOW MAJORITY (7) - ran wide final turn and checked off heels of GOLDSTAR JUSTICE. GOLDSTAR JUSTICE (8) - checked by TAIERI SNAPSHOT on bend and turned sideways losing ground. Race 10	Garrard's Horse & Hound Dash - C2 - 295	This Race and Race 11 were delayed by 1 minute at the request of Raceday Control. GOLDSTAR QUINN (2) - ran very wide final turn. AMURI SPOT (3) - ran outwards early stages contacting STUMPY BILL. STUMPY BILL (4) - contacted by AMURI SPOT early stages and tightened losing ground. KNOW HINDER (5) - tightened by inside runners early stages. KNOW SMOKEY (6) - tightened by MISS JUNE early stages losing ground. MISS JUNE (7) - ran inwards early stages tightening KNOW SMOKEY.
Race 11	Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C2 - 295	MASTER LOUIS (1) - last on jumping. Ran inwards back straight hitting the rail. Ran outwards off the heels of BILLY RAY on turn pushing KNOW BEAST very wide. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury however it was established the greyhound to have impaired vision in both eyes with the greyhound being stood down pending a clearance from a ophthalmologist and a satisfactory trial. KNOW BEAST (2) - slow in early stages. Pushed very wide by MASTER LOUIS on bend losing chance. KNOW TACTICS (4) - ran wide final turn. BILLY RAY (6) - ran outwards into bend and had heels clipped by MASTER LOUIS losing ground. HOMEBUSH SUGAR (8) - ran wide into bend.
