Held up when improving into bend losing momentum. Pushed wide by LITTLE SECRET final turn. OPA'S JOY (6) - contacted by MITCHAM KING into bend. SEA SPRAY ASH (7) - tightened into bend and dropped to rear. MITCHAM KING (8) - ran inwards into bend tightening SEA SPRAY ASH and contacting OPA'S JOY. Ran inwards home straight.
Race 2	mayhounds.org.nz Rehoming Group Stakes - C1 - 520	GOLDSTAR LINDA (3) - slow to jump. DYNA VARSITY (5) - badly tightened into first bend dropping to rear. Raced wide back straight. MULL OF KINTYRE (6) - ran wide first bend and back straight. ADOBE GIRL (8) - slow to jump.
Race 3	Casswoods for Carpet Binding & Mats Dash - C1 - 295	Trainer C Roberts advised that MAJOR STORM has been retired from racing. TAIERI TERRA (3) - angled outwards early stages tightening BILLY BUDD. Ran outwards into bend pushing LADY SOBERS wider. Ran wide final turn. BILLY BUDD (4) - tightened early stages dropping to rear. UNCLE FRANK (5) - tightened by LADY SOBERS into bend losing ground. LADY SOBERS (7) - ran inwards into bend tightening UNCLE FRANK then pushed outwards by TAIERI TERRA. Badly checked by OHOKA CARSEN on bend losing chance. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. OHOKA CARSEN (8) - ran outwards on bend badly checking LADY SOBERS and losing momentum.
Race 4	Steve Anngow Drapes & Blinds Ph0272719588 Dash - C2 - 295	HOMEBUSH BARCLAY (1) - slow to jump. YES YES NO (2) - slow to jump. BRUNO BARBARELLI (5) - contacted SMASH SURPRISE early stages when running outwards. Ran very wide final turn losing ground. Assessed by vet and found to have wrist pain. SMASH SURPRISE (6) - contacted by runners early stages losing ground. DOUBLE QUEENIE (7) - contacted SMASH SURPRISE early stages.
Race 5	Beach Cafe & Wine Bar Sprint - C2 - 295	PUNTERS LAST (2) - tightened by TONKAWA into bend. MULBERRY SOX (3) - very hard to box. Slow to jump. KHATIA (5) - tightened into bend losing ground. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. TONKAWA (6) - ran outwards into bend tightening PUNTERS LAST. Appeared to be struck by a bird early in run home with this having no affect on its galloping action. ELITE BLUEBLOOD (7) - tightened into bend losing ground. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury.
Race 6	christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Dash - C1 - 295	GRACIE LEE (J McInerney) was a late scratching when found to be in season on retrieval from the kennels. (This stand down was subsequently rescinded on 22 February). DIAMOND CRUSADE (2) - slow to jump. Tightened into bend brushing the rail and dropping to rear. PRINCE ZULU (3) - contacted HOMEBUSH ARCHIE on bend. MITCHAM ILA (4) - checked by HOMEBUSH ARCHIE on bend. HOMEBUSH ARCHIE (5) - contacted by PRINCE ZULU on bend losing ground then ran inwards checking MITCHAM ILA. HADES (7) - slow to jump. Pushed wide around bend. KNOW SMOKEY (8) - began awkwardly. Pushed wide around bend.
Race 7	Addington Events Centre Sprint - C1 - 295	SEA SPRAY BERT (3) - badly tightened on bend losing ground and running outwards. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. KNOW KERATIC (7) - hampered into bend and lost ground as DENERAU DELIGHT ran inwards. Raced very wide on bend. DENARAU DELIGHT (8) - ran inwards into bend hampering KNOW KERATIC.
Race 8	Crate & Barrel Hotel Sprint - C2 - 295	GOLDSTAR AVALON (2) - contacted OPAWA DI in run to bend then dropped out. Assessed by vet and found to have a torn gracilis. OPAWA DI (5) - contacted GOLDSTAR AVALON in run to bend. DREAM RUNNER (7) - slow in early stages. KNOW PICK (8) - slow in early stages.
Race 9	Hart Family Greyhound Racing Stakes - C1 - 520	OPAL HUNTER (J McInerney) was a late scratching at kenneling when found to be in season. (This was subsequently rescinded on 22 February). SPRING ARMOUR (1) - dragged BELLA FORTUNA down into first bend and ran outwards checking outside runners losing its chance. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. BELLA FORTUNA (2) - badly dragged down by SPRING ARMOUR into first bend losing chance. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. GOLDSTAR VALE (3) - badly checked first bend losing ground. OTHELLO ADOBE (4) - slow in early stages. SMASH DEVIL (6) - slow to jump. Terminally checked first bend losing chance. SHERMO BALE (7) - badly checked first bend losing ground.
Race 10	Garrard's Horse And Hound Stakes - C1 - 520	ZIPPING MARLIN (3) - dragged down into first turn then pushed wide losing ground. Pushed under rail at lure. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. MAYHEM MADE (4) - ran outwards early stages contacting OPAWA OLIVER and losing momentum. Raced very wide back straight. OPAWA OLIVER (6) - lost ground early stages after MAYHEM MADE had run outwards and made contact. BUNDY (8) - pushed ZIPPING MARLIN wide first turn.
Race 11	Springston Hotel Dash - C3 - 295	AMURI MYSTIC (2) - slow to jump. Tightened by CITIZEN AGUERO on bend. FIDGETY FEET (4) - slow to jump. Contacted by HILTON HOPE into bend losing ground. HILTON HOPE (5) - pushed down track back straight then contacted FIDGETY FEET. Badly tightened into bend dropping to rear. EPIC DIAMOND (6) - slow to jump. CITIZEN AGUERO (7) - ran inwards back straight pushing HILTON HOPE down track. Again ran inwards on bend tightening AMURI MYSTIC. GO GUNNA (8) - slow to jump. Ran very wide final bend.
Race 12	Livamol Sprint - C3 - 295	GOTCHA TROY (4) - contacted by SOZIN'S AZURE early stages. Tightened by outside runners into bend losing ground. SOZIN'S AZURE (5) - ran inwards early stages contacting GOTCHA TROY losing ground. Hampered on bend and pushed wide. STARR BLUEBLOOD (7) - ran inwards into bend tightening inside runners. HOMEBUSH FINN (8) - pushed very wide on bend.
