1). Trainer S Keen advised Stewards that her Greyhound 'CHASING FAME' had been found to have bruising to its right gracilis muscle the day subsequent to the above meeting which Ms Keen apportioned to its disappointing performance.

Stand Downs:

1). MY ROSIE (L WARETINI) - stood down for 28 days and pending a satisfactory trial for Failing to Pursue the Lure in Race 6.

Placed in restricted room rounding the bend. TAIERI SNAPSHOT (4) - began awkwardly before being placed in restricted room. MITCHAM BECKY (5) - hindquarters raced on early stages shifting down the track onto GOLDSTAR FLORA. GOLDSTAR CLOVER (6) - forced down the track early stages colliding with the hindquarters of MITCHAM BECKY. ROMEO (7) - boxed first. Shifted down the track on jumping impeding inside greyhounds. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend losing momentum.
Race 2	Springston Hotel Feature - C2 - 520	GRITTY (2) - contacted from the outside by OPAWA NIGEL. Jostled with MEATLOAF prior to the finish line. OPAWA NIGEL (3) - collided with GRITTY before checking off heels early stages. Awkwardly positioned on heels entering the first bend. GOLDSTAR SPOOK (4) - checked off heels rounding the first bend. MEATLOAF (7) - slow early stages. Jostled with GRITTY prior to the finish line.
Race 3	O'Sheas Public House Feature - R/A - 520	TROUBLESOME KEV (2) - shouldered with GREAT WORK exiting the first bend. Weakened midway through the back straight. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stewards questioned Kennel Representative Mr A McCook regarding the greyhounds seemingly disappointing performance. Mr McCook stated that the greyhound has had a interrupted preparation leading into tonight's engagement and races best when on the pace. Mr McCook added that it was their intention to give the greyhound a brief respite prior to racing next. NIGHTHAWK FRENZY (3) - jostled briefly with OPAWA BOYS PAID through the early stages. Lost ground when placed in tight quarters prior to entering the first bend. OPAWA BOYS PAID (4) - jostled briefly with NIGHTHAWK FRENZY through the early stages. Hampered entering the first bend before being obligated to check inwards off heels. ALLEGRO NIXON (5) - squeezed for racing room early stages. HOMEBUSH STASSER (6) - placed in tight quarters to the inside of GREAT WORK exiting the final bend. FAIRLY ABLE (8) - referred to the Veterinarian after falling at the lure and stood down for 5 days as a precaution. GREAT WORK (9/1) - shouldered with TROUBLESOME KEV exiting the first bend. Turned outwards briefly when crowding the racing room of HOMEBUSH STASSER exiting the final bend.
Race 4	Camside Stud Distance Feature - C2d - 645	DYNA DAVE (1) - raced hard on the hindquarters of VAN NINDI first turn checking off this runners heels and colliding with GOLDSTAR SYDNEY. Became awkward in its gallop thereafter and pulled up. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a sprained hock. Trainer C Roberts advised that the dog will be retired from racing. UTHOR BALE (2) - checked outwards off heels first turn colliding with BIGTIME BAILEY. Hampered by GOLDSTAR SYDNEY entering the home straight on the first occasion. VAN NINDI (5) - hindquarters raced on first turn shouldering with HOMEBUSH FONZIE as a consequence. Weakened final bend. HOMEBUSH FONZIE (6) - boxed first. Shouldered with VAN NINDI first turn. BIGTIME BAILEY (7) - collided with UTHOR BALE first turn coursing wide in consequence. GOLDSTAR SYDNEY (8) - collided with DYNA DAVE first turn hampering the running line of UTHOR BALE in consequence.
Race 5	Steve Anngow Drapes & Blinds Ph0272719588 Feature - C3 - 520	MITCHAM SAM (2) - jostled with GOLDSTAR YANKEE through the back straight. Weakened final stages. JUST OLIVE (3) - placed in restricted room first bend having to check and lose ground. TIGGERLONG DEMON (5) - checked prior to the first bend. Weakened final bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stewards questioned trainer D Roberts regarding the performance of his greyhound with Mr Roberts explaining the greyhound was having its first race back from a brief let up and over the middle distance. Mr Roberts added that the greyhound would derive benefit from tonight's outing. PEPPER CHIMES (7) - awkwardly placed to the hindquarters of GOLDSTAR YANKEE early stages. Coursed wide first bend before being checked by JUST OLIVE. GOLDSTAR YANKEE (8) - hindquarters raced on early stages before racing on the hindquarters of TIGGERLONG DEMON. Placed on heels first bend. Jostled with MITCHAM SAM through the back straight.
Race 6	Len, Jane & Penny Hart Memorial Feature - C4 - 520	JILLIBY JAC (1) - jostled briefly with LONGSHANKS early stages. LONGSHANKS (2) - jostled briefly with JILLIBY JAC early stages. Placed in restricted room in the run to the first bend losing ground. Raced wide first bend forcing KNOW REFUSAL up the track. KNOW REFUSAL (3) - jostled with LONGSHANKS in the run to the bend before briefly shouldering with KNOW DENYING. Assessed by vet and found to have a split webbing. ZIPPING SARAH (5) - checked off heels entering the first bend obliging MY ROSIE to race wide. BIGTIME ARCHIE (7) - slow early stages. MY ROSIE (8) - obligated to race wide first bend when racing to the outside of ZIPPING SARAH. Eased and turned its head outwards rounding the first bend losing ground with the field. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stood down for Failing to Pursue the Lure.
Race 7	The Fitz Sports Bar NZ Galaxy - C5f - 295	CARLOS (2) - placed in restricted room entering the bend. TUCKER (4) - hampered entering the bend. ARCHIE JOHN HILL (5) - hampered the running line of BUDDY BOOM early stages. Placed in restricted room entering the bend. BUDDY BOOM (6) - squeezed for racing room early stages having to check inwards off the heels of ARCHIE JOHN HILL. Awkwardly positioned on heels entering the bend having to check. OPAWA BAILEY (7) - obligated to shift off the heels of STARBURST GEORGE in the run to the bend. Awkwardly positioned on heels entering the bend having to check.

Race 9	Christchurch Casino NZ Greyhound Cup - C5f - 520	ROCK ON JOHN (3) - hindquarters brushed early stages. RIPSLINGER ROXY (4) - slow to jump becoming placed on the hind quarters of ROCK ON JOHN. JILLIBY LITSA (5) - contacted from the outside by OZZIE early stages. Heels raced on rounding the final bend becoming unbalanced. OZZIE (6) - placed in restricted room early stages contacting JILLIBY LITSA. Coursed wide through the back straight. Raced on the heels of JILLIBY LITSA rounding the final bend falling to the track as a consequence. Referred to the Veterinarian and stood down for 5 days as a precaution. QUINCY BALE (7) - placed in restricted room early stages losing ground. OPAWA SLICK (8) - came down the track early stages hampering the racing line of QUINCY BALE and OZZIE.
Race 10	Selwyn-Rakaia Vet Services Feature - C5 - 520	VAN EVIE (1) - bumped from the outside by BIG TIME HARLEY early stages. Awkwardly positioned on heels entering the first bend losing ground. Hampered rounding the first bend losing further ground. BIG TIME HARLEY (2) - bumped with VAN EVIE early stages. BIG TIME SETH (4) - contacted from the outside early stages by LEONARD BALE. LEONARD BALE (5) - collided with ADOBE BRO on jumping shifting down the track contacting BIG TIME SETH. Placed in restricted room and had to check when entering the first bend and again rounding the first bend. ADOBE BRO (6) - collided with LEONARD BALE on jumping before being placed in restricted room. Jostled with BIGTIME BRUNO in the run to the first bend. BIGTIME BRUNO (7) - had to checked when being crossed by ALL CONSUMING early stages before jostling with ADOBE BRO in the run to the first bend. ALL CONSUMING (8) - checked rounding the first bend being obligated to check off heels and course wide.
Race 11	Suck It Up Ltd NZ Stayers Cup - C2df - 732	BRONSKI BEAT (1) - heels clipped entering the final bend. GOLDSTAR TUDOR (2) - checked MR BLACKJACK entering the first bend before being placed in tight quarters losing momentum. Jostled with EMGRAND ROSE exiting the second turn. MR BLACKJACK (3) - terminally checked entering the first turn. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. VON STRASS (4) - clipped the heels of BRONSKI BEAT entering the final bend. EMGRAND ROSE (6) - hampered entering the first bend. Jostled with GOLDSTAR TUDOR exiting the second turn.
Race 12	Garrard's Horse And Hound Feature - C5 - 295	SELECT TRICK (3) - shifted up the track rounding the bend forcing outside greyhounds wide. ULYSSA BALE (6) - lost momentum when being crossed by COUNTRY GENT prior to the bend. COUNTRY GENT (7) - Obliged to course wide rounding the bend. SQUILLIONAIRE (8) - began awkwardly. Obligated to race wide rounding the bend.
