Christchurch GRC - 23rd October 2020

1) Co-Trainer B Evans has reported that x-rays taken from her greyhound 'GOLDSTAR PERRIE' had established a dislocation of its right hock. Mrs Evans further advised that it was her intention to retire the greyhound from racing.

2). Co-Trainer B Evans has advised Stewards that JUSTIN LINCOLN would be sent for a spell after its disappointing performance.

Endorsements:

1). Trainer J McInerney made application to Stewards under GRNZ Rule 56.5(b) to have his bitch HOMEBUSH AIMEE examined to determine whether she was still in season after being late scratched for this reason at the Christchurch GRC's meeting on the 8th October 2020. This examination revealed the bitch to not be in season and the original stand down rescinded.

Race 2	Happy Birthday Lisa Grant Dash - C0 - 295	MY MERIT (5) - contacted with HOMEBUSH FURY early stages. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend. HOMEBUSH FURY (6) - contacted with MY MERIT early stages. ADOBE BETTY (8) - began awkwardly and was slow away.
Race 3	Casswoods for Carpet Binding & Mats Stakes - C0 - 520	SMASH DEVIL (1) - dragged down and fell to the track entering the first bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stood down for 5 days as a precaution. MY CURLY (3) - checked form the inside first bend by OPAWA STAR. ADOBE FLINTSTONE (4) - contacted from the outside by OPAWA LYNDSAY early stages. Climbed on the heels of SMASH DEVIL entering the first bend losing momentum. EPIC GALAXY (5) - slow to jump.Terminally checked first bend by falling greyhounds. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to be lame in its right pectoral muscle. OPAWA LYNDSAY (6) - collided with ADOBE FLINTSONE early stages. Checked by the falling SMASH DEVIL first bend losing its balance and doing a summersault as a consequence. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stood down for 5 days as a precaution. EPIC BELLA (7) - fell to the track after attempting to hurdle the falling OPAWA LYNDSAY. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stood down for 5 days as a precaution. OPAWA STAR (9/2) - checked outwards off heels first bend colliding with MY CURLY.
Race 4	Suck It Up Ltd Sprint - C0 - 295	PRINCELY CASH (3) - squeezed for room early stages losing ground. Inconvenienced rounding the bend. KNOW POPS (5) - checked inwards off heels early stages. GOTCHA HOLLY (6) - awkwardly positioned to the outside of GORILLA'S SMILE rounding the bend shifting inwards and causing an inconvenience to trailing greyhounds. EDISON (7) - considerably slow to jump. HOMEBUSH JEWEL (8) - inconvenienced rounding the bend.
Race 5	mayhounds.org.nz Rehoming Group Stakes - C0 - 520	EPIC QUEEN (1) - slow to jump. Shifted up the track entering the first bend. Hampered rounding the final bend. OPAWA NEVILLE (2) - collided with EPIC DIAMOND exiting the first bend and again prior to entering the final bend. EPIC KNIGHT (3) - slow to jump. Checked outwards off heels entering the first bend before being obligated to course wide. OPAWA GRAVEL (5) - shouldered with ADOBE RUBBLE on jumping. Obligated to shift up the track first bend. ADOBE RUBBLE (6) - shouldered with OPAWA GRAVEL on jumping. EPIC DIAMOND (8) - collided with OPAWA NEVILLE exiting the first bend and again prior to entering the final bend.
Race 6	Islington Tavern Dash - C0 - 295	STAR OF PAKISTAN (2) - slow early. Climbed on heels rounding the bend shifting outwards and forcing DIAMOND WARRIOR wide. Checked outwards off heels exiting the bend. Jostled briefly with DIAMOND WARRIOR through the early stages of the run home. DIAMOND WARRIOR (3) - slow early. Dictated wide rounding the bend. Jostled briefly with STAR OF PAKISTAN through the early stages of the run home. HOMEBUSH MAPLE (4) - raced wide through the run home. HOMEBUSH ARCHIE (5) - shouldered with OVER TO YOU entering the bend. OVER TO YOU (7) - shouldered with HOMEBUSH ARCHIE entering the bend.

Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury however stood down for 5 days as a precaution. DYNA TREVOR (4) - jostled briefly with GOLDEN KIWI early stages. Checked outwards off heels prior to the bend. Awkwardly placed on the heels of DON'T CRY JONI entering the bend falling to the track as a consequence. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have right shoulder soreness. . GOLDEN KIWI (5) - hindquarters raced on early stages. Jostled briefly with DYNA TREVOR shortly afterwards. WIZARD WILLIE (6) - contacted the hindquarters of GOLDEN KIWI early stages. Hampered by a falling runner rounding the bend. DOROTHY BE GOOD (8) - checked by falling runner runding the bend and coursed wide.
Race 12	RE-ENERGISE Dash - C1 - 295	YES YES NO (1) - began awkwardly. CLAWS IN LEO (2) - began awkwardly. Collided with HOMEBUSH FINN early stages. Placed in tight quarters entering the bend. HOMEBUSH FINN (3) - contacted from the inside early stages. HADES (4) - slow to jump before becoming awkwardly placed on heels. Obligated to check off heels rounding the bend.
