Christchurch GRC - 18th September 2020.

The Investigation into the conduct demonstrated by Public Trainer Mr C Steele towards Chief Stipendiary Steward Mr S Wallis at the above said meeting has been concluded. As a result of these investigations Mr Steele was issued with and pled guilty to breaching GRNZ Rule 62.2(g) in that he threatened a Steward. At a Judicial Control Authority hearing held at Addington Raceway on the 8th October 2020 the Judicial Committee, after hearing the evidence and penalty submissions from all parties suspended Mr Steele's Public Trainers Licence for a period of six months commencing on the 24th October 2020 up to the 23 April 2021. The Committee ruled that should Mr Steele complete the counselling recommended by Dianna Young, AOD Clinician to the Racing Industry, prior to the 24th February 2021 then the final two months of the suspension will be remitted, so that the term of suspension will end on that date, 24th February 2021.

MISS JUNE (5) - contacted from the outside on jumping shifting down onto SMASH SURPRISE as a consequence. Shouldered with GOLDSTAR BEAU and HOMEBUSH SAYER prior to the bend being placed in restricted room as a consequence. Lost ground when awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend. GOLDSTAR BEAU (6) - collided with MISS JUNE on jumping forcing this greyhound down onto SMASH SURPRISE. Shouldered with MISS JUNE prior to the bend. Placed in tight quarters entering the bend losing considerable ground as a consequence. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. SEA SPRAY BERT (7) - coursed wide through the run home. KNOW BURDEN (8) - boxed first. Hampered and lost ground entering the bend.

DONALBAIN (10/4) - squeezed for racing room early stages checking inwards off heels. Placed in restricted room entering the bend.
Race 3	kiwikiwihounds.co.nz Adoption Sprint - C1 - 295	SEA SPRAY ASH (1) - boxed first. Contacted from the outside entering the bend becoming awkwardly placed on the running rail and losing ground. KING KALI (2) - began awkwardly. YAPPY YAP (3) - contacted from the outside entering the bend shifting down onto SEA SPRAY ASH. GOLDSTAR ROYAL (4) - slow to jump. CHICAGO HEAD (5) - shifted off heels in the run to the bend. Awkwardly positioned on heels exiting the bend contacting COOL HAND LESTER as a consequence. HILTON HEADACHE (6) - collided with YAPPY YAP entering the bend. COOL HAND LESTER (7) - contacted from the inside exiting the bend. BLAZING BANJO (8) - checked and lost ground rounding the bend.
Race 4	Addington Events Centre Stakes - C1 - 520	RIEKO (1) - checked outwards off heels entering the first turn checking outside greyhounds as a consequence. Shouldered with GOLDSTAR DARWIN for a stride back straight. TOM FOX (2) - lost ground when placed in restricted room early stages. Dictated wide first bend before being obligated to check off heels. DIAMOND CRUSADE (4) - checked off heels early stages. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the first bend. Jostled briefly with HOMEBUSH CARTER first bend. Assessed by vet and found to have abductor muscle pain. OPAWA JANE (5) - checked from behind entering the first bend. MIGHTY MUSCLE (6) - checked from behind entering the first bend. GOLDSTAR DARWIN (7) - dictated wide first bend. Shouldered with RIEKO for a stride back straight. HOMEBUSH CARTER (9/3) - boxed first. Jostled briefly with DIAMOND CRUSADE first bend.

Race 6	Clarkson's Sign Studio Dash - C1 - 295	BOUND UP (1) - slow to jump. Hampered in the run to the bend being placed in tight quarters and losing ground as a consequence. Hit the running rail rounding the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury however was showing signs of cramp. HILTON JONESY (2) - shifted up the track in the run to the bend. KNOW CAUSE (4) - began awkwardly. Checked inwards off heels in the run to the bend hampering the racing line of BOUND UP. AMURI MYSTIC (5) - contacted from the outside by DIAMOND ROSETTE on jumping. DIAMOND ROSETTE (6) - collided with AMURI MYSTIC on jumping. GOLDSTAR SLATER (8) - checked inwards off heels in the final straight. Assessed by vet and found to have triangle muscle pain. LAKOTA MICCO (3) - placed in restricted room entering the bend having to check. Further checked rounding the bend losing ground. BASHFUL BUFFY (7) - checked and lost ground rounding the bend.
Race 11	Casswoods for Carpet Binding & Mats Dash - C2 - 295	HOMEBUSH RAPPER (1) - placed in tight quarters rounding the bend losing momentum. MULBERRY ROCK (2) - boxed first. Bumped with PRINCE ROHIT early stages. PRINCE ROHIT (3) - bumped with MULBERRY ROCK early stages before having its hindquarters contacted by OPAWA BOYS PAID. Raced on the hind quarters of HOMEBUSH STASSER early stages. Held up briefly rounding the bend shifting outwards off heels. Heavily contacted from the inside exiting the bend. Referred to Veterinarian with no injury found however was showing signs of mild cramp. HOMEBUSH STASSER (5) - hindquarters raced on early stages. OPAWA PINK (6) - shifted outwards off heels early stages. Jostled with OHOKA LACEY in the run to the bend. Contacted ROMEO exiting the bend. HORSE RANGE OPAL (7) - obligated to race wide rounding the bend and continued to do so through the run home. OHOKA LACEY (8) - jostled with OPAWA PINK in the run to the bend.
