Race 9	Mt Wellington TAB Stakes - C3/4 - 527	SPRING MECHANIC was a late scratching on veterinary advice at kenneling for a toe injury. OPAWA MAGIC (1) - contact for a distance entering the first turn losing ground. Shifted out off heels entering the back straight. OPAWA BIG (2) - shifted in off heels after the start. Tightened and checked first turn. SPRING QUEEN (4) - inconvenienced first turn. GLOW UP (5) - collided first turn shifting wider. Dictated wider entering the back straight. Veterinary examination revealed temporary lameness in the right foreleg with pain in the accessory carpal ligaments with a 7 day stand down imposed.
