Judicial report: This meeting was closed to public due to Government restrictions surrounding Covid - 19 and was run under Greyhound Racing New Zealand Work Safe Covid - 19 protocols for Level 2.

Christchurch GRC 15th September 2020

1). Trainer R Blackburn advised Stewards that LAUTREC had returned to her kennels with a torn left hip support muscle and it was her intention to give the greyhound an extended spell.

SOUTHLAND GRC 16th September 2020

1). Trainer J Lane advised that YI FENG had received a pin muscle injury during the running and would now be retired.

Satisfactory trials:

1). TIGGERLONG DEMON (D Roberts) - completed a satisfactory trial with an outside blinker and is now eligible to be nominated.

Raced in restricted room rounding the bend. BASHFUL BUFFY (4) - hind quarters raced on in the run to the bend. GOLDSTAR HALSEY (5) - contacted and bumped down the track in the run to the bend becoming awkwardly placed on the hind quarters of AMURI LIV. Placed in restricted room after jostling with HOMEBUSH RIEKO prior to the bend losing ground as a consequence. HOMEBUSH RIEKO (7) - collided with GOLDSTAR HALSEY in the run to the bend. Jostled with this runner prior to the bend. HOMEBUSH REED (9/3) - shouldered with MITCHAM RYDER briefly early stages.
Race 2	Hart Family Greyhound Racing Sprint - C4 - 295	PLATINUM PAISLEY(7) - was a late scratching at kenneling after being found to be In Season. OUR DAZZEL (1) - hind quarters contacted entering the bend. BECK ELEVEN (2) - placed in restricted room entering the bend having to check for a stride. HOMEBUSH AIMEE (3) - shifted off heels rounding the bend. MINE HUNTER (4) - awkwardly placed on hind quarters in the run to the bend. Checked off heels rounding the bend. LITTLE KRAKATOA (6) - hind quarters contacted when shifting down the track in the run to the room.
Race 3	Casswoods for Carpet Binding & Mats Dash - C3 - 295	HOMEBUSH ZACK(2) - was a late scratching with stifle soreness. HOMEBUSH GAMBLER (1) - began awkwardly. MAJOR STORM (4) - hind quarters raced on prior to the bend. TEARAWAY TARA (5) - raced on the hind quarters of MAJOR STORM prior to the bend. Raced in restricted room rounding the bend. Clipped heels exiting the bend losing balance. SMASH OVER (7) - awkwardly positioned on heels prior to exiting the bend before having its heels clipped. KNOW CRIME (8) - slow early.
Race 4	Murray & Hannah @ Ray White 033715005 Sprint - C3 - 295	KNOCKA KNOW HOW (1) - contacted from the outside rounding the bend. GOLDSTAR WILLA (3) - shifted off heels prior to exiting the bend. CRYSTAL CANDY (4) - jostled with ST ANDREWS early stages. ST ANDREWS (5) - jostled with CRYSTAL CANDY early stages. TABBY (8) - collided with KNOCKA KNOW HOW rounding the bend. PRINCE ZULU (9/7) - awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend.
Race 5	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C4 - 295	MR MUPPET (2) - shifted up the track early stages colliding with FRIZZLED. Climbed on heels entering the bend. Lost momentum when awkwardly placed to the outside of PENNY JANE entering the bend. PENNY JANE (3) - hampered early stages. Squeezed for racing room entering the bend before being dragged down losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. MEGA DREAM (4) - squeezed for racing room early stages. MITCHAM MAGIC (5) - shifted down the track early stages hampering inside runners. MAN OF LETTERS (6) - checked early stages. POORAN'S JADEJA (7) - hampered early stages. Checked off heels entering the bend. FRIZZLED (8) - shifted down the track abruptly early stages hampering inside runners before colliding with MR MUPPET. Checked entering the bend.
Race 6	Suck It Up Ltd Stakes - C3 - 520	The all clear was delayed until such time Stewards were satisfied that the lure distance down the back straight was not at a distance that materially prejudiced the chances of any runner. OPAWA NOVA (1) - raced shoulder to shoulder with QUEENA BALE in the run to the finish. QUEENA BALE (2) - raced shoulder to shoulder with OPAWA NOVA in the run to the finish. GOLDSTAR WYNTER (4) - checked off heels entering the first bend causing terminal checks to TROUBLESOME KEV and KNOW REFUSAL. KNOW REFUSAL (6) - slow early. Terminally checked entering the first bend. TROUBLESOME KEV (7) - obliged to check off heels in the run to the first bend. Terminally checked entering the first bend.
Race 7	Springston Hotel Sprint - C5 - 295	WILDEBEEST (1) - began awkwardly. SELECT TRICK (3) - collided with TRICKY early stages losing balance and ground. Lost further ground when obligated to check off heels shortly afterwards. Coursed wide after again having to check off heels rounding the bend on several occasions. Referred to the Veterinarian however not undertaken due to a communication error. See Judicial CHCH GRC Report 18th Sept 2020 TRICKY (4) - collided with SELECT TRICK early stages. HORSE RANGE JIM (5) - jostled briefly with CALM INFERNO early stages. Lost momentum when awkwardly placed to the outside of WILDEBEEST entering the bend. CALM INFERNO (6) - jostled briefly with HORSE RANGE JIM early stages. SUPER OVER DRAMA (8) - forced to race wide rounding the bend after being shifted outwards by CALM INFERNO.
Race 8	Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C3 - 520	HOMEBUSH FONZIE (1) - boxed first. STUDENT LOAN (2) - placed on heels entering the first bend having to steady. DARLA BALE (3) - hampered for a stride rounding the first bend. CREME BRULEE (4) - brushed with OPAWA LYN exiting the final bend. OPAWA LYN (6) - awkwardly positioned to the outside of CREME BRULEE exiting the final bend losing momentum. TRADITION (7) - obliged to check inwards off heels early stages.
Race 9	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C4/5 - 520	OPAWA DEAL (J & D Fahey) was a late scratching a kenneling after presenting with a sore toe. NEW NOTE (2) - collided with KNOW STATE early stages being turned inwards. Faltered first bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a torn right gracilis. KNOW STATE (4) - squeezed for racing room early stages. Placed on heels prior to the first bend. OPAWA TODDY (5) - squeezed for racing room early stages. Placed on heels prior to the first bend. YOEL BALE (6) - began awkwardly before being squeezed for racing room.
Race 10	Kolorful Kanvas Christchurch Classic - R/Af - 520	GOLDSTAR TUDOR (6) - shouldered with OPAWA SANDRIDGE entering the first bend. GOLDSTAR JOURNEY (7) - slow early stages. Collided with OPAWA SANDRIDGE entering the final bend. OPAWA SANDRIDGE (8) - shouldered with GOLDSTAR TUDOR entering the first bend. Collided with GOLDSTAR JOURNEY entering the final bend.
Race 11	Steve Anngow Drapes & Blinds Ph0272719588 Dash - C5 - 295	EZRA BLUEBLOOD (1) - jostled briefly with COUNTRY GENT on jumping. COUNTRY GENT (2) - jostled briefly with EZRA BLUEBLOOD on jumping. BOLTY (3) - awkwardly placed between runners in the run to the bend. Contacted by HONEY LANTREE prior to the bend becoming unbalanced. HONEY LANTREE (4) - collided with BOLTY prior to the bend losing ground. Jostled with OUR ANNA exiting the bend. HANKENSTEIN (5) - jostled with ZIPPING HOUDINI entering the bend. ZIPPING HOUDINI (6) - jostled with HANKENSTEIN entering the bend before being squeezed for racing room and losing ground. OUR ANNA (8) - awkwardly placed to the outside of ZIPPING HOUDINI entering the bend. Jostled with HONEY LANTREE exiting the bend. Coursed wide through the run home.
Race 12	Livamol Dash - C4 - 295	PITA RAMOS (1) - had heels clipped on jumping. KING TOLIMAN (2) - shifted inwards on jumping clipping the heels of PITA RAMOS. GOLDEN BAY (3) - began awkwardly. OPAWA JAWS (5) - climbed on heels in the run to the lure. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a sprained wrist. SONJA (7) - jostled briefly with M'LADY SADIE entering the bend having to steady. M'LADY SADIE (8) - jostled briefly with SONJA entering the bend.
