Track: Dead An area of the track was inspected after Race 3 with the programme being put back by 1 race in consequence. The track was upgraded to Good after Race 5 as it continued to dry out through the day.

The McInerney kennels advised that the following dogs received injuries necessitating their scratchings from tomorrow's meeting

Ran outwards final bend. Contacted by FAMOUS LEE late in run home. CREME BRULEE (5) - contacted JUST OLIVE first bend losing ground then had its heels clipped by MACADOODLE. Tightened on first bend losing momentum. DARLA BALE (6) - ran wide first bend. GOLDSTAR WYNTER (7) - slow to jump. MR BLACKJACK (8) - pushed wide by MACADOODLE into first bend.

KNOW CHARISMA (6) - tightened by HOMEBUSH CAESAR back straight losing ground. Checked into bend dropping to rear. Pushed very wide final bend. HOMEBUSH CAESAR (7) - ran inwards back straight tightening inside runners. Dragged down for a stride on bend losing ground. CULVIE NESS (8) - pushed outwards final bend.
Race 3	mayhounds.org.nz Rehoming Group Stakes - C4 - 520	SAILOR ALLEN (C Roberts) was a late scratching when found to have a sore wrist. KNOW DENYING (1) - tightened into first bend losing ground. DOUBLE SPEED (2) - angled outwards first bend. QUINCY BALE (4) - pushed outwards into first bend. Checked outwards off heels first bend contacting GARY. GARY (8) - pushed outwards into first bend. Contacted by QUINCY BALE first bend.
Race 4	Casswoods for Carpet Binding & Mats Dash - C4 - 295	MR MUPPET (1) - contacted by FRIZZLED early stages. FRIZZLED (2) - ran inwards early stages contacting MR MUPPET SMASH ACHIEVER (4) - got on heels into bend and ran outwards in consequence. SPECIAL AS (5) - slow to jump. Pushed outwards by SMASH ACHIEVER into bend. MEGA DREAM (6) - pushed wide into bend losing ground. Ran wide final bend. OPA'S MATE (8) - slow to jump. Checked on bend losing ground.
Race 5	Thursday Place Pick Dash - C5 - 295	COUNTRY GENT (1) - contacted by outside runners into bend losing momentum. FLORA DORA (2) - tightened by HORSE RANGE JIM into bend losing ground. HORSE RANGE JIM (4) - ran outwards early stages tightening outside runners. Ran inwards into bend tightening inside runners. SOZIN'S EMPIRE (5) - tightened early stages losing ground. GOLDSTAR MAJOR (6) - tightened early stages losing ground. MOHICAN RUN (7) - ran inwards early stages tightening inside runners. Checked on bend losing ground. BECK ELEVEN (8) - pushed wide around bend.
Race 6	Active Electrical Christchurch Dash - C5 - 295	The track was upgraded to Good prior to this event. SELECT TRICK (1) - had back right leg clipped by MITCHAM USAIN in back straight with that runner falling in consequence. Ran outwards home straight. MITCHAM USAIN (3) - fell in back straight after being pushed inwards by CALM INFERNO and clipping a back leg of SELECT TRICK. Assessed by vet and cleared of injury. Stood down for the mandatory 5 days. CALM INFERNO (4) - pushed MITCHAM USAIN inwards back straight. WILDEBEEST (5) - raced wide home straight.
Race 7	Dave Robbie Photographer Sprint - C5 - 295	JUST IZZY (3) - ran outwards early stages tightening outside runners. Pushed down track by HONEY LANTREE back straight. ARCHIE JOHN HILL (4) - tightened early stages. Checked by HONEY LANTREE back straight losing ground. Checked outwards off heels final bend pushing EVER RESTED wider. Again checked off heels early in home straight pushing HONEY LANTREE wider. EVER RESTED (5) - tightened early stages losing ground. Pushed wide by ARCHIE JOHN HILL final bend. HONEY LANTREE (6) - ran inwards early stages tightening inside runners. Continued to run inwards checking ARCHIE JOHN HILL and was turned sideways for a stride before pushing JUST IZZY down track. Pushed wide by ARCHIE JOHN HILL early in run home.
Race 8	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C5 - 520	OZZIE (1) - contacted by SHE'S FOR US in run to first bend. XABIL BALE (2) - ran wide entering back straight pushing OPAWA SLICK wider. Tightened and lost ground final bend dropping to rear. Assessed by vet and found to have a toe injury. OSTER BALE (3) - slow to jump then checked by SHE'S FOR US in run to first bend losing ground. SHE'S FOR US (4) - ran inwards in run to first bend checking OSTER BALE and contacting OZZIE. OPAWA SLICK (8) - pushed wide by XABIL BALE entering back straight losing ground.
