• This meeting was closed to public due to Government restrictions surrounding Covid - 19 and was run under Greyhound Racing New Zealand Work Safe Covid - 19 protocols.

• In accordance with GRNZ Rule 48.9(a), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races.

JUDICIAL REPORT:

This meeting was abandoned following Race 8 when a large fire broke out in the workshop shed. All Trainers, handlers and greyhounds were safely evacuated.

Jostled into the first turn then inconvenienced shifting wider. CRACKLING GAL (6) - tightened making contact after the start. Checked off heels first turn. Tightened and checked rounding the bend shifting out across heels. Tightened early in the final straight then unable to obtain clear racing room for the remainder of the event. FANCY (7) - angled in after the start making contact. OUR SCARLETT (8) - contacted first turn getting forced wider then raced wide for the remainder of the event.

Tightened entering the first turn making contact for a distance losing ground. LOUDRED (4) - contact several occasions after the start. Checked getting on heels making contact first turn losing ground. XENA POPPY (5) - bumped after the start. Contact for a distance first turn then contacted from behind becoming unbalanced losing ground. Raced in restricted room rounding the bend making contact entering the final straight. WILD KIWI (6) - collided after the start. Bumped several strides first turn. GRINDELWALD (7) - collided after the start. Obliged to race wide early stages shifting in across heels rounding the bend. RICCITELLI (8) - began awkwardly losing ground. Contact first turn. Contact entering the final straight.
Race 3	Jo's Wholesale & Sports Bar Taipa Tavern Sprint - C1 - 318	JUST MADDIE (1) - bumped first turn. MY BRO BOBBY (2) - bumped after the start. Bumped first turn. OPAWA GONZO (3) - bumped after the start. Contact for a distance throughout the back straight and rounding the first turn. CHOO CHOO (4) - contact after the start. Contacted rounding the bend. THRILLING DORA (5) - tightened making contact after the start. Contact for a distance throughout the back straight and rounding the first turn losing ground. TRIBAL CONQUEST (6) - contact after the start. Contact for a distance throughout the back straight and rounding the first turn losing ground. LITTLE MOO (7) - bumped first turn. PACEMAKER (8) - raced wide first turn then shifted in rounding the bend making contact.
Race 4	Pump & Engineering Services Ltd Sprint - C2 - 318	NOISE MAKER (1) - began awkwardly losing ground. MA CHERE (2) - jostled after the start. Checked first turn. BIGTIME THOR (3) - jostled after the start. Checked first turn shifting wide off heels. ALWAYS DREAMING (4) - contact first turn. TOMMY THE JETT (6) - checked first turn shifting out off heels. PADDY FAST (7) - bumped start. Contact several occasions entering the first turn. ROD'S GIRL (8) - bumped start. Contact several occasions entering the first turn.
Race 5	Terminating Pick6 Sprint - C1 - 318	GO KIKI (1) - shifted out after the start making contact. Contact for a distance back straight. Collided first turn. SMASH OUT (2) - tightened making contact after the start. Contact for a distance back straight. Collided first turn. Bumped final bend. BOTANY SANDY (3) - slow away. Checked first turn shifting wider across heels shifting into the line of KAPAI TAHI. KAPAI TAHI (4) - tightened making contact after the start losing ground. Checked first turn getting on heels becoming unbalanced and falling. Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality with a 5 day stand down imposed. FALL GRACEFULLY (5) - bumped after the start. MY KIRSTY (6) - bumped after the start. Collided first turn. Collided rounding the bend losing ground. BIGTIME GAL (7) - faltered after the event before finishing on to the lure. Found to have fractured the right hock and was humanely euthanased. TAMANTHA (8) - contact first turn.Collided rounding the bend. Bumped final bend.
Race 6	Hewlett Electrical Sprint - C2 - 318	OPAWA ROY (2) - slow away. Contact for a distance first turn losing ground. NEXUS (3) - slow away. Contact for a distance first turn losing ground. AUDRETTE (4) - shifted out off heels back straight into the line of FLYING HUEY. BLOCKER (5) - briefly contacted from behind back straight. OUR HOTROD (6) - slow away then made contact. Tightened making contact first turn. FLYING HUEY (7) - checked back straight getting on heels. Contact first turn. BOTANY THOMMO (8) - slow away then made contact. Checked racing toward the first turn shifting out off heels

KIWI GAL (2) - tightened making contact for a distance after the start losing ground and shifting out off heels coming together with MISS CLAUDE. Checked first turn getting on heels. MANILA BALA (3) - contact for a distance after the start and throughout the back straight. Collided first turn. Tightened making contact rounding the bend losing ground. ASHEN (4) - tightened and checked rounding the bend shifting out across heels. Raced wide final bend. MISS CLAUDE (5) - bumped back straight. Collided first turn. Contact rounding the bend.
