Judicial report: SPECIAL REPORT:

• This meeting was closed to public due to Government restrictions surrounding Covid - 19 and was run under Greyhound Racing New Zealand Work Safe Covid - 19 protocols.

• In accordance with GRNZ Rule 48.9(a), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races.

JUDICIAL REPORT:

1). COME A GUSTER ( M Grant) - completed a satisfactory trial and is now permitted to be nominated to race.

2). Handler J McInereny Jnr was cautioned in regards to what is expected from him in future when handling greyhounds while Covid -19 restrictions are in place.

MAJOR STORM (2) - squeezed and jostled with SMASH ACHIEVER in the run to the bend. Checked off heels rounding the bend. GOLDSTAR CLOVER (4) - awkwardly placed on heels checking outwards when exiting the bend HOMEBUSH LIAM (6) - checked entering the bend losing ground.
Race 2	Kolorful Kanvas Dash - C3 - 295	RING CLOWN (3) - squeezed for racing room entering the bend losing ground. PUNTERS KIRSTY (7) - contacted from the inside by KING TOLIMAN prior to exiting the bend. KING TOLIMAN (8) - began awkwardly brushing with PUNTERS KIRSTY losing ground as a consequence. Placed in tight quarters and bumped with PUNTERS KIRSTY prior to exiting the bend.
Race 3	Culvie Boy's Syndicate Stakes - C3 - 520	OPHELIA ALLEN (2) - bumped with RIVALRIES early stages RIVALRIES (3) - bumped with OPHELIA ALLEN early stages. Checked off heels in the run to the first turn colliding with HOMEBUSH FONZIE as a result. Clipped heels entering the first bend. KNOW DENYING (4) - checked from behind entering the first bend. HOMEBUSH FONZIE (5) - slow to jump. Contacted from the inside in the run to the bend by RIVALRIES.
Race 4	Durasteel Structures Ph 033796195 Sprint - C5 - 295	MUSTANG TULLY (1) - began awkwardly. Contacted from the outside by IT'S A JOKE prior to exiting the bend and again upon entering the straight. KNOW EQUAL (3) - slow to jump. IT'S A JOKE (5) - contacted the hind quarters of MUSTANG TULLY prior to exiting the bend and again upon entering the straight.
Race 5	Thursday Place Pick Stakes - C3 - 520	KNOW CONCLUSION (2) - squeezed for racing room entering the first turn losing momentum. PUNTERS A HERO (5) - shifted off heels exiting the final bend forcing CREME BRULEE wide. LONGSHANKS (7) - raced wide first turn. ZEFSIDE (8) - awkwardly placed to the inside of OPAWA HILARY rounding the final turn when giving ground. CREME BRULEE (9/6) - dictated up the track exiting the final bend.
Race 6	Suck It Up Ltd Sprint - C4 - 295	KNOW MAJORITY (5) - squeezed for racing room entering the bend checking outwards and losing ground. Heavily contacted from the inside exiting the bend. SPECIAL AS (6) - hampered and lost momentum entering the bend. Checked outwards off heels exiting the bend colliding with KNOW MAJORITY. AMURI MAGIC (7) - inconvenienced and ran wide rounding the bend.
Race 7	Swimming Goat @ Stud Dash - C5 - 295	DISOBEDIENCE (1) - came up with the lids and was slow to begin. FIRED UP JED (4) - jostled briefly with HIGH DREAMER early stages. Jostled with ARCHIE JOHN HILL entering the bend. HIGH DREAMER (5) - squeezed early stages between ARCHIE JOHN HILL and FIRED UP JEN. Faltered entering the bend and lost ground. Subjected to a Veterinary examination where it was reported to have a torn gracilis and has been retired from racing as a consequence. ARCHIE JOHN HILL (6) - shifted down the track early stages brushing with HIGH DREAMER. Jostled with FIRED UP JEN entering the bend. LITTLE KRAKATOA (7) - squeezed briefly early stages. MARTHA MAGIC (8) - faltered entering the bend and lost ground. Subjected to a Veterinary examination where it was reported to have a torn gracilis and has been retired from racing as a consequence.
Race 8	Active Electrical Christchurch Dash - C4 - 295	CITIZEN AGUERO (4) - hind quarters bumped early stages. Awkwardly placed between runners rounding the bend. VEGAN EXPRESS (5) - bumped up the track early stages resulting in KNOW CHARISMA and JINJA ELLIE being placed in tight quarters. KNOW CHARISMA (6) - squeezed for racing room early stages losing ground. JINJA ELLIE (7) - squeezed for racing room early stages losing ground. Faltered shortly afterwards and lost ground with the field. Subjected to a Veterinary examination where it was reported to have sustained a torn gracilis. GOLDEN BAY (8) - shifted down the track early stages resulting in KNOW CHARISMA and JINJA ELLIE being placed in tight quarters.
Race 9	Amber Cleaning Services Sprint - C5 - 295	SEVE (2) - jostled with CALM INFERNO prior to the bend. CALM INFERNO (4) - bumped from the outside early stages losing balance for a stride before jostling with SEVE and being placed in restricted room losing ground. SELECT TRICK (5) - hampered shortly after the start. SHAW LEE (6) - placed in tight quarters early stages. HOMEBUSH CAESAR (7) - slow early. Awkwardly placed to the outside of SHAW LEE entering the bend losing ground.
Race 10	greyhoundauctions.co.nz Stakes - C4 - 520	ELECTRIC SILK (3) - placed KNOW REFUSAL in tight quarters rounding the final turn losing momentum. CLASSY WITCH (4) - bumped from the outside early stages. Placed in restricted room entering the first turn losing ground. START THE SHOW (5) - squeezed for racing room early stages before checking outwards off heels. Hampered rounding the final turn. KNOW REFUSAL (6) - squeezed for racing room early stages. Placed in tight quarters and had to steady rounding the final turn.
Race 11	Hart Family Greyhound Racing Stakes - C5 - 520	Stewards inspected the area of track where GO VEGAS faltered free of interference sustaining a fractured hock and found it safe to continue racing. THRILLING WATCH (1) - checked first turn. GO VEGAS (3) - faltered rounding the first turn losing ground and failing to finish. Subjected to a Veterinary examination where it was reported to have sustained a fractured right hock and due severity of the fracture the greyhound was euthanised as per GRNZ's on Track euthanasia policy. XABIL BALE (5) - began awkwardly before receiving contact from the outside by GOLDSTAR MAUNEY. Placed in tight quarters entering the first turn having to check outwards and race wide. GOLDSTAR MAUNEY (6) - began awkwardly before bumping with XABIL BALE. Forced to race wide first turn. RINGSIDE (8) - checked first turn losing momentum.
Race 12	Protexin Sprint - C4 - 295	AMURI LIV (3) - brushed with SOZIN'S EMPIRE early stages. HOMEBUSH ALEXEI (5) - placed on heels early stages and obligated to check inwards losing ground. SOZIN'S EMPIRE (6) - brushed with AMURI LIV early stages. KNOW DEBT (7) - slow early.
