Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: 1). Trainer M Grant was fined $300.00 for failing to scratch SMASH DAMAGE prior to 7.30am this morning therefore denying a reserve greyhound a start.

2). CAWBOURNE BRITTY (A Roberts) - Mr Roberts advised this greyhound has been retired from racing after competing in Race 1 tonight.

3). PLATINUM PAISLEY ( J Dunn) - stood down for a satisfactory trial after sustaining a serious injury when Failing to Pursue the Lure in Race 2.

HOMEBUSH COMET (5) - came down the track in the run to the bend placing inside greyhounds in some difficulty. Awkwardly placed to the outside of KNOW CHARISMA entering the bend losing ground. KING KALI (6) - came up with the lid and settled last.
Race 2	Happy Birthday Mark Gallagher Dash - C5 - 295	TAIERI TERRA (1) - slow early. Squeezed for racing room entering the bend losing ground. SUPER OVER DRAMA (4) - bumped with the hind quarters of PLATINUM PAISLEY early stages. Hampered entering the bend losing momentum. HOMEBUSH ALEXEI (5) - slow early. PLATINUM PAISLEY (6) - hind quarters contacted when shifting down the track early stages. Turned its head outwards entering the home straight whilst free of interference. Stood down for Failing to Pursue the Lure however upon a Veterinary examination was found to have pain on flexion to it right carpus requiring a 21 day stand down. Stood down pending a satisfactory trial.
Race 3	Happy Birthday Graham Van Tongeren Dash - C3 - 295	REIGN OF FIRE (1) - boxed first. Hampered entering the bend losing momentum. KNOW BABY (3) - awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend. Again placed on heels and lost ground rounding the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. HOMEBUSH RAPPER (4) - squeezed for racing room prior to the bend losing ground. Dragged down rounding the bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. GOLDSTAR MAJOR (5) - placed in tight quarters entering the bend losing momentum.
Race 4	I Pave Concrete Sprint - C4 - 295	BELFAST DEMO (2) - bumped with SMASH GRENADE prior to the bend. Checked off heels rounding the bend. SMASH GRENADE (3) - bumped with BELFAST DEMO prior to the bend. JINJA DYLAN (4) - jostled with HOMEBUSH FINN in the run to the bend. OPAWA LAWSEY (6) - awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend losing ground. Checked off heels in the run to the line. HOMEBUSH FINN (9/5) - jostled with JINJA DYLAN in the run to the bend. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend losing ground.
Race 5	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C5 - 295	Stewards inspected the area of track leaving the boxes and rounding the bend after both SHEZA RIPPA and KETCHIKAN KIM both faltered free of interference sustaining a torn gracilis and fractured hock respectively and found it safe to continue racing. SHEZA RIPPA (2) - faltered when leaving the box mat losing ground and taking no competitive part in the race. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have torn a gracilis. Retired for breeding purposes. OUR DAZZEL (3) - bumped briefly with CHANYAKA prior to the bend. BECK ELEVEN (4) - slow to jump. CHANYAKA (5) - bumped briefly with OUR DAZZEL prior to the bend. KETCHIKAN KIM (8) - faltered free of interference rounding the bend losing its chance. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was found to have a compound fracture to its right hock. This was stabilised with the bitch treated with painkillers and anti inflammatories to be retired for breeding purposes.
Race 6	My Bro Fabio Distance - C1/2d - 645	ORINA ALLEN (2) - jostled with MIGHTY MUSCLE early stages. MIGHTY MUSCLE (3) - jostled with ORINA ALLEN early stages. VON STRASS (5) - checked outwards off heels colliding with HOT PLATTER when entering the home straight on the first occasion. Lost momentum when awkwardly placed between runners entering the kennel bend. Checked off heels and lost further momentum shortly afterwards. HOT PLATTER (7) - contacted from the inside by VON STRASS entering the home straight on the first occasion. Checked and lost momentum briefly entering the kennel bend. GOLDSTAR SYDNEY (8) - slow early. Awkwardly placed to the outside of HOT PLATTER entering the kennel bend and fell heavily to the track. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury.
Race 7	Active Electrical Christchurch N Z St Leger Heat 1 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 1	SILENT DISMISSAL (1) - checked outwards off heels rounding the first bend checking PEARLS ARE US. PEARLS ARE US (2) - collided with LONGSHANKS early stages. Checked rounding the first bend by SILENT DISMISSAL. LONGSHANKS (3) - collided with PEARLS ARE US early stages before laying up the track. Wide first bend. GOLDSTAR YANKEE (4) - came up with the lid and was slow away. OPAWA NAT (8) - hampered by checked runners rounding the first bend.
Race 8	Active Electrical Christchurch N Z St Leger Heat 2 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 2	ULYSSA BALE (1) - began clumsily. SEVE (3) - awkward out of the boxes. Checked off heels shortly after the jump colliding with ELECTRIC SILK. Weakened in the run to the finish. OPAWA VINNY (6) - checked off heels first bend. ELECTRIC SILK (7) - contacted from the inside by SEVE early stages. GOLDSTAR TRUMAN (8) - slow early.
Race 9	Active Electrical Christchurch N Z St Leger Heat 3 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 3	PUNTERS A HERO (2) - bumped from the outside by OZZIE early stages. DARLA BALE (3) - faltered and fell briefly to the track losing considerable ground on jumping. OZZIE (4) - shifted down the track and bumped with PUNTERS A HERO early stages. Ran wide entering the back straight dictating OPAWA DEAL wide. OPAWA DEAL (6) - dictated wide back straight.
Race 10	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C4/5 - 520	DYNA DAVE (1) - placed in tight quarters entering the first bend and lost momentum. OPAWA MAY (3) - brushed with OPAWA SWEET early stages. OPAWA SWEET (4) - contacted and bumped up the track early stages. OSTER BALE (6) - slow before being squeezed for racing room and losing ground. START THE SHOW (8) - hampered and obligated to check off heels rounding the final bend.
Race 11	Anglers Arms Tavern Dash - C5 - 295	NIPPA MARTINO (1) - placed in restricted room rounding the bend being unable to improve. GOLDEN BAY (2) - heavily contacted from the outside in the run to the bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. ARCHIE JOHN HILL (3) - jostled with HILTON FORABET early stages. Squeezed for racing room in the run to the bend. HILTON FORABET (4) - jostled with ARCHIE JOHN HILL early stages. Squeezed for racing room in the run to the bend. AMURI GEORGE (5) - shifted down the track in the run to the bend placing inside greyhounds in some difficulty.
Race 12	Protexin Sprint - C4 - 295	BUSY ROCCA (2) - clipped from behind rounding the bend. Lost ground rapidly thereafter. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was report to have a torn semimembranosus muscle. ALL CONSUMING (3) - checked off heels rounding the bend forcing outside runners wide. SPECIAL AS (5) - forced wide bend. JINJA ELLIE (6) - forced wide bend.
