SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT:

Auckland GRC - 22nd December 2019.

1). GO SHOW (T Agent/K Williams) - Mr Agent has reported to Stewards that x-rays taken subsequent to the race day had revealed the greyhound to have a fractured left proximal metatarsal. As a consequence to this the Greyhound was humanly euthanised.

Auckland GRC - 19th December 2019 - Follow up.

1). PUZZLE TIN (W & T Steele) - Mr Steele has reported to Stewards that following from it's disappointing performance that the greyhound had seemed lethargic in the days subsequent and had been given an easy workload leading up to today assignment. Mr Steele further advised that the greyhound had pleased him with a gallop at home on Friday, 27th December 2019 and was confident of a forward showing today.

JUDICIAL REPORT:

1). BIRDS FLY HIGH (P Henley) - stood down for 7 days after sustaining a injury to its left pectoral muscle in a pre-race solo trial.

TANGO MISS (2) - awkwardly placed on heels in the run to the bend. Made heavy contact with the running rail rounding the bend becoming unbalanced and fell to the track. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. NOISE MAKER (3) - forced down the track in the run to the bend before being turned outwards when bumping with SMASH OUT. IT'S A STROLL (6) - bumped down the track by TILLY'S SILLY early stages before being placed in restricted room between runners. Climbed on the heels of TILLY'S SILLY entering the bend losing momentum. SHouldered with TILLY'S SILLY exiting the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to be lame in its left hip support. TILLY'S SILLY (7) - shifted down the track early stages bumping with IT'S A STROLL. Dragged down entering the bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Shouldered with IT'S A STROLL exiting the bend.
Race 2	Mayhounds Racing Retirement Project Sprint - C0 - 318	DOBBY WHO (8) proved extremely difficult to load and as a result all other runners were left in the boxes for an extended period of time. As a consequence to this all runners were removed from the boxes and cleared by the On Course Veterinarian to be re-loaded. DOBBY WHO was placed on the Box First for the re-load where it will remain for its upcoming starts. DONNY (1) - brushed the hind quarters of RICCITELLI (2) when checking of heels early stages. Collided with XENA POPPY as a consequence to this becoming placed on heels and further having to check. RICCITELLI (2) - hind quarters bumped early stages. XENA POPPY (3) - contacted from the inside early stages being turned outwards and becoming uncoordinated for a period. CAMBODIAN KING (6) - collided with DOBBY WHO early stages. Obligated to check off DOBBY WHO's heels rounding the bend on two occasions. INDI SHAE (7) - began awkwardly. DOBBY WHO (8) - boxed first. Collided with CAMBODIAN KING early stages. Heels clipped rounding the bend shifting up the track as a consequence.
Race 3	Trophies Plus Series Final - C2f - 318	Race rescheduled to start at 2.11pm after the delay in Race 2. STAY RICH (1) - shouldered with MAD JACK in the run to the bend. Placed in tight quarters entering the bend shifting outwards hampering BIGTIME JACOB. BIGTIME JACOB (2) - slow early stages. Hampered when racing to the outside of STAY RICH rounding the bend, shifting up the track and hampering RAINY RIVER in consequence. BIGTIME DEAN (3) - slow early stages. MAD JACK (4) - shouldered with STAY RICH in the run to the bend. RAINY RIVER (6) - dictated down the track early stages. Awkwardly positioned to the outside of BIGTIME JACOB rounding the bend. DIGGER ACE (7) - shifted down the track abruptly early stages dictating RAINY RIVER down the track.
Race 4	Sports Bowl Function Centre Series Final - C1f - 318	MR FELIX (3) - slow early before being contacted from the outside by BIG TIME RICKY. Checked off heels entering the bend losing momentum. BIG TIME RICKY (5) - checked inwards off heels colliding with MR FELIX as a result. BIG TIME ROSE (6) - jostled with TRIBAL CONQUEST prior tothe bend being placed in restricted room as a result and losing ground. TRIBAL CONQUEST (7) - contacted from the outside by PADDY FAST on jumping. Jostled with BIG TIME ROSE prior to the bend. PADDY FAST (8) - shifted inwards at the start colliding with TRIBAL CONQUEST.
Race 5	Hewlett Electrical Sprint - C4 - 318	Race rescheduled to start at 2.44pm due to a delay at Bank Peninsula T.C PODIUM PHOBIA (1) - began awkwardly. NOAH WHO (2) - slow early. Heels clipped by GAIN CAPITAL exiting the bend. NATIVE SCOUT (4) - shifted up the track in the run to the bend. GAIN CAPITAL (5) - contacted from PREROGATIVE prior to the bend becoming unbalanced and losing ground. Awkwardly positioned on the heels of NOAH WHO exiting the bend. PREROGATIVE (6) - bumped with GAIN CAPITAL prior to the bend. ZUGZWANG (7) - shifted outwards on jumping contacting GO ALL IN. GO ALL LIN (8) - contacted by ZUGZWANG early stages.
Race 6	Pump & Engineering Services Ltd Sprint - C1 - 318	SMASH BURTON (2) - jostled with AGBEZE in the run to the bend. AGBEZE (3) - jostled with SMASH BURTON in the run to the bend. Awkwardly placed between runners entering the bend losing ground. STAR SECRET (5) - hind quarters brushed early stages. HI HO TONTO (6) - slow early. Checked off heels in the run to the bend. COOBER PEDY (7) - brushed the hind quarters of STAR SECRET early stages before being obligated to check off this runners heels. Awkwardly positioned to the outside of AGBEZE entering the bend losing ground. RION KING (8) - obligated to check off heels rounding the bend.
Race 7	$15,000 Guaranteed Pick6 Stakes - C1 - 527	BOTANY THOMMO (3) - jostled briefly with GINNY WEASLEY down the back straight. Weakened final turn. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. Stewards spoke with Trainer P Green in relation to the greyhounds seemingly disappointing performance. Mr Green explained that he wasn't overly disappointed with the effort and was of the opinion the greyhound may not be suited to the 527m distance of today race. Mr Green further added he would restrict the distance BOTANY THOMMO would race over after a brief spell. LITTLE APPLE (6) - awkwardly placed on heels early stages. Obliged to race wide first bend. GINNY WEASLEY (8) - jostled briefly with BOTANY THOMMO down the back straight.
Race 8	Mt Wellington TAB Sprint - C2/3 - 318	RAPTOR ATTACK (2) - proved difficult to load. Jumped clumsily shifting up the track contacting C'EST L'AMOUR. C'EST L'AMOUR (3) - contacted from the inside on jumping by RAPTOR ATTACK. Bumped and turned inwards prior to the bend. LUKE SKYWALKER (4) - boxed first. Squeezed for racing room entering the bend. KURIDRANI (6) - squeezed for racing room early stages after jostling briefly with NEXUS. Brushed the hind quarters of NEXUS prior to the bend. NEXUS (7) - jostled with KURIDRANI early stages. Hind quarters briefly brushed prior to the bend. Awkwardly placed to the outside of LUKE SKYWALKER entering the bend.
Race 9	Qualified Pet Services Sprint - C4/5 - 318	ELECTRIC DANCER (1) - Awkwardly positioned to the outside of IDOL NIFTY entering the bend. IDOL NIFTY (2) - collided with CARBON TIGER on jumping. Hampered briefly entering the bend. CARBON TIGER (3) - contacted from the inside by IDOL NIFTY on jumping. DIG DIG DIG (4) - placed in tight quarters in the run to the bend checking off heels as a consequence. PADDY'S PASSION (5) - collided heavily with LAST STAR in the run to the bend losing ground. Continued to lose ground with the field finishing a distant last. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a torn hip support LAST STAR (7) - had heavy contact from PADDY'S PASSION in the run to the bend brushing with TI AMO as a consequence.
Race 10	Hayley Mullane Stakes - C1/2 - 527	BOLD DIESEL (5) - bumped with ALENG shortly after jumping. Raced wide first bend. DIGNITY DENTED (7) - hampered briefly shortly after the start. ALENG (9/6) - bumped with BOLD DIESEL shortly after jumping then squeezed for racing room losing ground.
Race 11	Jack's Wholesale Meats Stakes - C3 - 527	GO ANGEL (4) - brushed shoulders with CRACKLING GAL entering the final turn. Racing line impeded prior to the finish line. WAITERIMU RIPPER (5) - shifted down the track through the run home impeded the racing line of GO ANGEL short of the finish line. CRACKLING GAL (6) - awkwardly placed on heels entering the first turn. Brushed shoulders with GO ANGEL entering the final turn losing momentum. CHARLOW (7) - hampered for racing room early stages.
Race 12	Happy New Year To All Sprint - C1 - 318	SMALL BOY (1) - jostled with BAILEY AND CREAM in the run to the bend. BAILEY AND CREAM (2) - squeezed for racing room in the run to the bend losing ground. Again squeezed for racing room entering the bend having to check and lose further ground. Hampered rounding the bend. YELLA ELLA (3) - squeezed for racing room in the run to the bend losing ground. Placed in restricted room entering the bend losing further ground and making possible contact with the running rail. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. NOT SHACKLEY (4) - jostled with YELLA ELLA in the run to the bend. BLACK BRIDGE (5) - awkwardly positioned to the outside of YELLA ELLA entering the bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have sustained a sprained right hock.
