Christchurch GRC - 23rd December 2019.

1). PLATONIC AFFAIR (L Waretini) - Ms Waretini has reported that this greyhound had been found to have a torn right shoulder subsequent to this race.

JUDICIAL REPORT:

1). RIVALRIES (J & D Fahey) - Mr Fahey made application prior to the meeting for the endorsement on the Certificate of Registration of this greyhound under Rule 55.6 be cancelled after completing 10 clear races without reoffending.

2). KEA VIKING (J & D Fahey) - stood down for 28 days and pending a satisfactory trial for Marring in Race 5.

TONKAWA (4) - boxed first. Slow early. Awkwardly placed on heels prior to the bend. RUM GIN MIXER (5) - slow early. Squeezed for racing room shortly after the start having to check and lose momentum. YANIRA BALE (6) - placed in tight quarters to the inside of DYNA TREVOR entering the bend losing ground. SMASH OVER (7) - contacted from the inside by DYNA TREVOR early stages. Lost ground rounding the bend when racing to the outside of YANIRA BALE.
Race 2	Garrard's Horse & Hound Dash - C3 - 295	BELFAST DEMO (1) - hind quarters brushed by HOMEBUSH TESAN entering the bend. FERAL KAIAKA (3) - jostled with KING TOLIMAN rounding the bend before being squeezed for room exiting the bend checking abruptly outwards off heels into the running line of HOMEBUSH ALEXEI. HOMEBUSH TESAN (4) - brushed the hind quarters of BELFAST DEMO entering the bend before having it heels clipped by KING TOLIMAN. Placed in tight quarters rounding the bend having to check off the heels of KING TOLIMAN. KING TOLIMAN (5) - awkwardly positioned on the heels of HOMEBUSH TESAN entering the bend. Jostled with OHANA LAD in the run to the line. OHANA LAD (6) - placed on heels entering the bend when looking for racing room. Jostled with KING TOLIMAN in the run to the line. HOMEBUSH ALEXEI (8) - racing line slightly impeded exiting the bend.
Race 3	Happy Birthday Bonnie Evans Sprint - C4 - 295	OPAWA OSCAR (1) - bumped from the outside by BENDER TRUTH early stages. BENDER TRUTH (2) - came up the track slightly early stages being turned inwards and onto OPAWA OSCAR as a consequence losing ground. Jostled with JAX JEWEL prior to the bend. JAX JEWEL (3) - placed in restricted room early stages losing ground. Jostled with BENDER TRUTH prior to the bend. Bumped with GOLDSTAR SPOTTY exiting the bend. PUNCH ON BUZZ (4) - placed in restricted room early stages losing ground. AMURI GEORGE (5) - hind quarters brushed early stages by HOMEBUSH FINN. Placed in restricted room early stages losing ground. HOMEBUSH FINN (6) - slow early before brushing with AMURI GEORGE. Checked outwards off heels shortly afterwards. Bumped GOLDSTAR SPOTTY rounding the bend. HEAR THIS (7) - dictated down the track early stages before being squeezed for racing room. Again squeezed for racing room rounding the bend having to check. GOLDSTAR SPOTTY (8) - shifted down the track early stages impeding inside greyhounds. Bumped with HOMEBUSH FINN rounding the bend before checking outwards off the heels of this runner exiting the bend colliding with JAX JEWEL.
Race 4	Steve Anngow Drapes & Blinds Ph0272719588 Dash - C3 - 295	PRINCE ZULU (1) - jostled with OPA'S MATE in the run to the bend before being placed in restricted room entering the bend and losing ground. OPA'S MATE (2) - placed in tight quarters in the run to the bend after jostling with PRINCE ZULU. Again placed in restricted room rounding the bend and lost ground. Bumped with SPECIAL AFFAIR later stages of the bend. SPECIAL AFFAIR (3) - slow early. Placed in restricted room rounding the bend and lost ground. Awkwardly placed to the outside of OPA'S MATE rounding the bend losing ground and hampering MITCHAM READO. GO MUFASA (4) - jostled with JUST IZZY early stages. JUST IZZY (5) - jostled with GO MUFASA early stages. MITCHAM READO (8) - hampered rounding the bend when racing to the outside of SPECIAL AFFAIR.
Race 5	Islington Tavern Stakes - C2 - 520	Race delayed due to remedial work required on the track surface. NIPPA ENOUGH (2) - lost momentum when placed in tight quarters entering the final turn. ORINA ALLEN (3) - awkwardly placed between runners first bend before checking outwards off heels entering the back straight. KEA VIKING (4) - slow early. Squeezed for racing room early stages having to steady. Turned its head inwards in the run to the finish so as to make muzzle contact with OUR ANNA. Stood down for Marring. OUR ANNA (5) - inconvienced in the run to the finish after being marred by KEA VIKING. HAIDEE BALE (6) - squeezed for racing room entering the first turn being clipped from behind as a result. MITCHAM MANERING (7) - slow early. Clipped heels entering the first turn shifting up the track as a consequence. MUST BE RUSTY (9/1) - slow early. Continued to lose ground with the field thereafter failing to take a competitive part in the race. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to be lame across its lumbosacral spine and right groin area.
Race 6	Happy Birthday Ashley Bradshaw Dash - C2 - 295	BLACK TORI (1) - had heels clipped exiting the bend shifting up the track as a consequence. ULYSSA BALE (2) - had heels clipped exiting the bend shifting up the track as a consequence. JINJA DYLAN (3) - bumped briefly with SOZIN'S NOIR early stages. HORSE RANGE JIM (4) - contacted from the outside by SOZIN'S NOIR early stages before being placed in tight quarters. Held up for racing room rounding the bend before becoming awkwardly placed on heels and losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. SOZIN'S NOIR (5) - collided with HORSE RANGE JIM early stages before bumping with JINJA DYLAN. PUNCH ON SCOOBY (7) - awkwardly positioned on heels entering the home straight having to check and lose momentum. HOMEBUSH HOTSHOT (9/6) - slow early stages losing ground with the field and failing to take a competitive part in the race. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a left hock sprain.
Race 7	Kaikanui Tavern Sprint - C4 - 295	AMURI MAGIC (2) - placed in restricted room early stages and again rounding the bend. COUNTRY GENT (3) - contacted from the outside by EPIC ROSE early stages placing AMURI MAGIC in restricted room as a consequence. Checked off heels entering the bend losing momentum. Contacted and forced up the track exiting the bend hampering PLATINUM MARSHAL. Hampered by EPIC ROSE entering the home straight. SOUFFLE SUE (4) - boxed first. Hampered for room early stages. EPIC ROSE (6) - shifted down the track abruptly early stages colliding with COUNTRY GENT. Forced out onto heels rounding the bend having shift outwards as a consequence and collide with COUNTRY GENT. PLATINUM MARSHAL (7) - forced wide after being hampered by COUNTRY GENT rounding the bend. Hampered again by this runner entering the home straight.
Race 8	Suck It Up Ltd Dash - C5 - 295	TREVILLE (1) - brushed from the outside by PLATINUM PAISLEY in the run to the bend. PLATINUM PAISLEY (3) - bumped with HANKENSTEIN early stages before brushing with TREVILLE. HANKENSTEIN (4) - bumped with PLATINUM PAISLEY early stages. LISA'S BOY (5) - lost momentum when awkwardly placed between runners rounding the bend. SMASH WILD (6) - lost momentum when awkwardly placed between runners rounding the bend.
Race 9	Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C3 - 520	OPHELIA ALLEN (3) - began awkwardly losing ground. Hampered and lost momentum entering the first bend. KNOW THREAT (4) - placed in restricted room prior to the first turn having to steady. KNOW EQUAL (5) - boxed first. Slow to jump.
Race 10	Avonhead Tavern Sprint - C5 - 295	CULVIE NESS (1) - placed in restricted room and was unable to improve rounding the bend before being obligated to check off heels. PITA RAMOS (2) - hampered by VERSAILLES entering the bend. GOLDSTAR MAJOR (3) - awkwardly positioned on heels rounding the bend shifting up the track hampering BECK ELEVEN. VERSAILLES (4) - raced on the hind quarters of PITA RAMOS entering the bend losing momentum.
Race 11	Livamol Stakes - C3/4 - 520	THRILLING WATCH (5) - raced wide first turn. KNOW DENYING (6) - squeezed for racing room in the run to the first bend having to check off heels and lose ground. Again obligated to check off heels rounding the first bend losing further ground. RIVALRIES (7) - slow early. Dictated wide first turn.
Race 12	Greyhound Turbo Quaddies 2 January Dash - C4 - 295	PRINCELY GOLD (1) - placed awkwardly entering the bend. KETCHIKAN KIM (2) - placed in restricted room entering the bend. GOLDEN BAY (3) - hind quarters brushed entering the bend. JINJA ELLIE (4) - squeezed for racing room prior to the bend. Awkwardly placed on heels rounding the bend hampering SOZIN'S SYMPHONEY. CITIZEN AGUERO (5) - came down the track entering the bend brushing the hind quarters of GOLDEN BAY. Placed in restricted room thereafter having to steady. Checked outwards off heels in the run to the finish. NELSO ALLEN (6) - considerably slow early. Lost ground when attempting a marginal gap rounding the bend. SOZIN'S SYMPHONY (8) - hampered and forced up the track rounding the bend.
